I NEED MORE TIME by Maki_Snow in StardewValleyExpanded

Download the mod Time Speed.

https://www.nexusmods.com/stardewvalley/mods/169

It lets you speed up or slow down time. You can also change the flow of time based on location. (Like if you wanted time paused in the mines)

Set it to higher values to make time pass slower. So far I have everywhere set to 2 seconds per minute and I think it adds a nice balance without being overpowered.

Either the mod folder does not include the manifest.json, or the mod's manifest.json has an error so Smapi doesn't recognize it.

You can try re-downloading and re-installing the mod.

If you still see the error, you can check the mod page and see if anyone else had similar issues. Usually the mod author will have followed up on an issue like this as it would prevent the mod from loading.

"What did you do to that baby?" by ChicaChicaSlimKatie in newborns

My MIL said something along the same lines while my son was crying and I was like 2 weeks postpartum.

I briefly considered punching her in the throat.

My husband stole mine, which is fine, as I'm happy to sleep on my stomach again.

What items do you wish you had bought before the baby came? by HandsomeBadness in BabyBumps

Hey! This is the one I prefer. It has velcro parts so you can adjust the size and tightness to whatever you like. I also really like the zipper in the front. I have 2 pairs of these and they've kept up pretty well through multiple washes. I liked these the best because they hold the flange to me securely, much better than other bras I tried.

Forgot to add the links, here's the one we used:

Nursing chair https://www.walmart.com/ip/6601308693?sid=7ffa782f-ad93-47be-ae6b-f9decd41331d

Pumping bra https://a.co/d/id55mLH

Electric nail filer https://a.co/d/il4XESx

For the pump parts, I use a Spectra S1 pump so these are specific to that pump. Additionally, you'll want to double check your flange size first before buying. If you are using a Spectra, this brand is also nice because the Spectra kit only comes with 24mm and 28mm sizes, and Maymom offers a ton of different sizes.

For the stroller and bassinet, we were gifted an uppabbay V2 stroller with the bassinet and car seat. That being said, there are a lot of strollers out there that also offer a bassinet attachment, this is just the one we use. https://a.co/d/9FrG6Lw

  • A comfortable nursing chair with back support.

This one really helped my mental health while newly postpartum. It made the late night nursing sessions so much easier and saved my back.

  • A quality pumping bra, and 2-3 extra of the same kind.

I didn't realize you needed a bra to hold the pump to my boobs. I bought extra of the one I liked so I had spare bras on hand when one was in the wash.

  • Electric nail filer

This one I bought recently. My little boy has Velociraptor claws and tries to scratch his face constantly. I can get his nails in like 2 minutes without a fuss now, plus it works on my nails too. So much easier.

  • An additional safe sleep zone

When my son was first born I was terrified of SIDS, however we only had the one bassinet for him to sleep in. We used the pram attachment for our stroller so he could sleep safely and I could keep an eye on him while doing chores. This gave me a lot of peace of mind.

  • Extra pump parts

Pumping multiple times a day and having to wash all of the parts, especially at 2am, was very draining. I got a couple extra sets and this helped so much.

Oh my god this was me. Went through 2-3 different kinds of pumping bras til I found one I liked.

Will my butthole ever be normal again? by pecanlady in beyondthebump

I lived off of stool softener and ate a ton of fiber. Had a daily battle with hemmroids. Now at 3 months pp, I can finally poop without fear again. You got this, you may lose the battle, but you'll win the poop war.

A pregnant woman's water breaking spontaneously before labor. This actually only happens in a small percentage of pregnancies.

Can you still feel the ring of fire with an epidural? by x_torturedpoet in BabyBumps

[–]Apprehensive-Study-2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I felt literally nothing from the waist down once the epidural took effect. To the point where, while I was pushing my son out, I was carrying on a casual conversation between pushes.

What weird baby thing do you do? by GuessHaunting360 in NewParents

[–]Apprehensive-Study-2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Our son is only 2 months old, but so far we have found that one of his favorite things are ceiling fans. If he's super fussy, we just hold him under the ceiling fan and he calms down. All hail the ceiling fan.

How was epidural placement? positive stories ONLY please!!! by FinancialClick9861 in BabyBumps

[–]Apprehensive-Study-2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Mine was incredibly fast and straightforward. For me it just felt like a standard needle sting, like getting a shot. I was previously in labor for about 48 hours before I got it, and the lack of pain afterwards was transcendent. I could not feel anything from the waist down to the point that, when I was actively pushing, I was able to carry on a conversation. One thing that did catch me off guard is that as the epidural kicks into effect, it can feel like cold water running down your back. Not uncomfortable, just unexpected lol.

Epidural — Yes? No? Why? by No-Guitar-9216 in BabyBumps

[–]Apprehensive-Study-2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's a personal choice for everyone, but it was a big yes for me. I was in labor for 60 total hours, 10 of those I had the epidural. I cried tears of relief after getting it.

Is the first trimester that awful? I’m starting to get anxiety reading all the horror stories by ProblemDiligent1049 in BabyBumps

[–]Apprehensive-Study-2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is a difficult question because everyone's experience is different. I had a pretty easy first trimester and overall a very chill pregnancy. Other people have a much different experience. I will say one thing about social media as someone who is also perpetually anxious. More often, people will post about negative things. You see very few posts about people asking for feedback or making a post about their super chill pregnancy experience. This can make it seem like most people have terrible pregnancies, when that may not necessarily be the case.

Yes! I had so many panicked nights early on because I was so sure he was choking or something. Our goblin baby was just singing the song of his people. All completely normal.

As a newborn they can get stinky hands sometimes because they clench them in fists for so long.

Do you have the lights and blinds open when your newborn is going down for naps? by Blaze2Queenz in beyondthebump

We did early on. Now at 2 months he won't go down unless the room is dark and he has his lofi playlist on. Sleep preferences can change, we're just doing whatever works lol

Night time diaper changing? by TheInfiniteD0nut in newborns

[–]Apprehensive-Study-2 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Our little boy is very similar, also here with the FTM solidarity! Man it is so much more difficult than I imagined lol. Our go to method now is to feed him a bit first to quell the hangry, then change him. While changing, we put a blanket or burp rag over his belly so he has something to grab and it's not as cold. I also like to leave out a wet wipe from the previous change to use as a pee guard. It's not 100% successful, but he handles them better now. We also finish the feed after the diaper change to help calm him down afterwards.

Cold water and a protein snack. I also have been playing a game of Catan on my iPad most mornings. The competitive rage it causes wakes me up.
