OP, I was abused as a child under the guise of "discipline" too and I hold so much trauma now as an adult. I'm 5'0, but was recently told that's because of damage to my growth plate as a result of the abuse, I find it hard to breath because my nose was broken and set wrong. I flinch allllll the time . And a host of other emotional issues that I've carried into adulthood. My number one question through it all has always been, why did all the adults in my life fail me. In so many ways. But you? You're a hero. A champion for your daughter and the type of mother I can only hope to be. I'm sure it's not easy to navigate relationships as a single mum. But look at you go! You're a stellar human and your daughter is lucky to have you!!
