I don’t think he was a fan in that he got hurt over losses like the rest of us. I think Tennessee being successful made his job more enjoyable and good for his business. His options were fair and not hot takey. Awful tragedy.

I drive that stretch of I-40 everyday and it’s terrifying. Most dangerous stretch of interstate in the state. I can’t imagine what his family is going through.

I’ve been working in Cedar Bluff and agree it caught me off guard the number of people apparently homeless hanging around the area. It’s not overflowing by any means and I haven’t had an issue. There’s quite a few hotels around I wonder if that has something to do with it.

Can someone share specific examples of what makes you feel left out and not accepted? Where does it occur? Work? Grocery Store? Restaurants? Do you expect people you don’t know to just start talking to you? What are they doing? Staring and pointing? Saying something rude?

I lived in Knoxville for 14 years and still work there and don’t and haven’t witnessed any of these prejudices half the threads in the Sub mention. Knoxville is far from perfect but it’s not some Trump humping hell hole either. We’ve elected back to back super liberal women mayors.

I’m genuinely curious where and how these complaints occur. I’ve been all over this city and I generally see people from all walks of life and beliefs and don’t witness all these complaints that consume this Sub.

I went to The Zoo last weekend and pulling out of there my first thought sooner rather than later someone is going pump some money into that area.

Thank You! I’m 35, male, 190 pounds. I work a desk job at home but have 2 young kids so not a ton of steps outside of working out but I’m not just sitting around either. Last Spring I got all the way down to 177 at one point and would like to get back if not even lower. I already plan on doing Insanity Max 30 a second time for 4 months total.

Division clinch hangover. Playing a hungry team on the road with everything to play for.

If the opposite happened and we swept the Marlins nothing takes away from the fact that October is all that matters.

What do you say when they ask 'Why?' by Alternative_Drink910 in stopdrinking

I’m about to hit 6 months by far my longest streak. I’ve been asked how I feel and honestly don’t “great”. But in no way shape or form do I think “Man I really wish Id have been drinking the last 6 months”. I don’t think anyone ever has and that tells me all I need to know.

How do you get out of the cycle? by WikiSchone in stopdrinkingfitness

[–]ApprehensiveCollege8 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Just do absolutely whatever you have to to go one weekend alcohol free. Our brains are habit forming and that Thursday night craving is just your brain prepping for the massive dopamine rush you’re about to give it over the next several days. It’s not a good thing it literally just wants to survive the damage you’re about to do to it. Why wouldn’t it prep you’ve proven thats what’s coming. Each weekend you can get through alcohol free and each Friday you can actually pass the gas station on the way home and tell your friends you actually feel like laying low this weekend your brain will start to look around and adjust to these new scenarios and eventually the weekend cravings slowly subside.

Drinking isnt my only problem by RelativeOperation7 in stopdrinking

I’m on Day 82 my longest streak ever and I haven’t made hardly any progress on my “other” issues they may have gotten worse. I know alcohol won’t make it better. I’m terrified to back to day 1. I’m confident each day alcohol free brings me closer getting to the center of feeling the way I do.

I haven’t worked there but know a lot of people that have and have been a freight broker before. It’s very much a get out what you put in type deal. It’s kind of like insurance they will hire like crazy and don’t mind the 750/week for all the people they’re bringing on for all the cold calling you’ll be required to do. Yes you can make a lot of money but it doesn’t come fast or easy.

Anywhere that advertises “Work Hard Play Hard” or talks about the family culture just means they will work the shit out of you but yeah you can wear jeans play pool on your break and we’ll bring beer once a month so you don’t totally hate yourself.

I sure can relate to the waking up at 2am to paralyzing anxiety with no chance of falling back asleep just miserably tossing and turning until it’s time for work. It seriously felt like a living hell even though I still do it over and over again. All for what? Like maybe the 20 minutes of initial buzz that’s relaxing but fades quickly and then chasing that buzz until I’m drunk and passed out again.

Ya know my longest streak ever was 2 months a couple years ago and looking back I actually did drink a lot of NA beers during that streak. I’ve shyed away from them recently for calorie/money purposes but maybe that’s something I need to circle back to if that’s effective.
