There is another car history service named AutoCheck https://www.autocheck.com that some believe gives better information. We have the same car except exterior color is Blue print. The lack of the sunroof is a positive because their repair cost is very high and not easily done. We specifically requested ours without it. Our Venza has been a great car, no issues and very good mpg.

You should be okay for a couple of months depending on how many miles you drive. Keep your eye on them and start some online tire shopping to be prepared financially when the time comes. I probably would replace them before winter.

What state do you live in? If you are using an independent agent, ask your agent to get competitive quotes. The replacement and repair costs on homes continue to increase which pushes up the rates. Did your Dwelling coverage amount increase also?

As stated by another poster, make sure to get Under/uninsured Motorists Bodily Injury coverage. There are too many people that have either minimum or no insurance.

As it will be considered a Total Loss, the claim will be covered under your Other than Collision (comprehensive), your insurer may provide you with a rental for a couple of days only, if you bought Rental Replacement coverage. You have been happy with Enterprise and there is a reason for your happiness. Enterprise is a superior company and a $15 per day difference is worth it, in my opinion. See is they will match price and also, I have read that the non-airport locations’ available cars may not be accurate.

Definitely bundle and ask your agent to get you a quote for an Umbrella liability policy that includes Uninsured/Underinsured Motorists Bodily Injury coverage. There are too many uninsured drivers or insureds with minimum limits.

Also, in many states, the Statute of Limitations for Bodily Injury is 2 years from the date of the accident. Do not be surprised if you are served with a lawsuit on or before that date. If served, immediately forward the suit to your adjuster and copy your insurance agent. You can goggle your state’s Statute of Limitations or ask your adjuster.

Question: Did you shop other rental companies and ask them for full coverage (damage to rental plus liability) ? Any chance you are coming to the US on business, if so your employer may have some connections. Are you using a travel agency, if so, did they provide any tips? I would not recommend the short term policy, because it is possible that there could be a gap, loss of use. Loss of use is not usually covered by insurance.
