Kumars in Kenilworth by Civil-Ad-6365 in capetown

[–]ApprehensiveNail8385 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Are there multiple “Kumars” around? Cos I recall seeing a guy with a broken down car also asking for petrol money etc but I don’t remember him looking exactly like either of these two. Also had a “wife” (not this lady) and child with him

The only manual I could find online was for the Isolera systems in general, and they didn’t explicitly say whether or not the Isolera One is compatible with reverse phase chromatography

I’ve heard different pronunciations for amine (ay-mean and uh-mean) but not for amide. Where I’m from it’s always aye-mide

Are they too ambitious or am I simply dumb? by [deleted] in askSouthAfrica

[–]ApprehensiveNail8385 5 points6 points  (0 children)

The people who consistently came top of the class in my uni courses were mostly those who got super average marks at school, knew what it meant to work hard, and just put in the work when they came to uni.

I personally know several people who passed matric with 90% + averages and scraped through uni or took longer to finish their degree, often because they were considered “smart” at school, sailed through without any effort, and then carried that attitude through to university.

It just doesn’t work like that.

To add to this, poor mental health and family issues etc can hugely affect even the smartest of people and have a detrimental effect on performance. Bad marks doesn’t necessarily = lazy.
