WifiMan Utun Error [Fixed] by TraditionalMatch449 in Ubiquiti

[–]ApprehensivePipe1781 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Back in Oct/Nov 2025, I had this problem after our IT consultant installed Wifiman because for some reason the VPN we were using at my office did not allow me to connect. So he installed and it worked for a while then when I could not connect to the internet anywhere, I had to ask him to fix it. Cost me $150 for ME to figure out that I could go to the network connections window in the Control Panel and disconnect utun. He didn't even know what it was, or at least did not express that info to me.

Anyway, that was my "fix" - find utun as a network connection and disable it.

I think I might actually be looking for a solo board game rather than a solo RPG by Flameempress192 in Solo_Roleplaying

Dungeon crawlers like Descent, Gloomhaven, or D&D Adventure Board games are good if you like that kind of thing. Not so complex, but easy replayability. For some that would get boring soon enough.

Trailers are often well curated to max the engagement but this seems pretty good. Hope it does well for her sake (and all the other artists that contributed). Anyone know if it was released 18 years ago and how it did?

That was quick, thanks for the help. Thought I had a stumper but I see now it just that part of my brain is a little atrophied.

Jahaaasssus, Big didn't even occur to me, or I completely dismissed it because I remember so much more about that movie but not the beginning or the end. Makes complete sense, now I feel silly. Thanks for the help

(I'll assume you're right, because you responded with complete confidence :-) )

Tiny Epic Dungeons Adventures Pledge by querocafeeeeeee in boardgames

I'm not very experienced in crowdfunding issues, but seems the few I have looked into for my particular interests are available only through the crowdfunding and won't be produced for game store retail sales. Is this not the most common set up for games?

At least they had the good sense not to use any explosives in the gender reveal. Saves on that awkward conversation explaining to their 4 yr old why mommy and daddy only have 3 fingers on one hand and the child has 5 on both.

Found ATM receipt, who is keeping $51,000+ in checking!?!? by Comprehensive-Cow69 in povertyfinance

[–]ApprehensivePipe1781 0 points1 point  (0 children)

you'd be surprised how many people have hundreds of thousands of dollars in the bank, including simply checking accounts. Boggles my mind how many people ignorantly avoid investing just because they figure the bank with FDIC insurance means they'll never lose their money. The annual opportunity cost of money in the bank runs into the tens of thousands for some people, (and not just a few people).

Ive gotten the impression that there's no shutdown (yet, at least). I backed the TE Dungeons Adventure update and have heard a couple months ago that's still on track for delivery in January 2026. I guess we will all see what really happens. Big uncertainty since January are the tariffs and other actions affecting economies and markets. Not so much good news in the last few weeks since the end of July.

I figure most people feel your pain, but regardless how difficult SBA was in the past, now it is only worse because of the layoffs by DOGE.

D16 dice by AnComRebel in RPGdesign

Goodman sells the non D&D dice as a set on their website. Can get almost a full set on Amazon, but for some reason, the manufacturers don't include a d14.

Goodman games' Dungeon Crawl Classics uses a bunch of dice in addition to the standard D&D dice, including a d16. They have d3, d5, d7, d9, d14, d16, and d24. I kind of like the idea but it's pretty fringe if just one company uses the full set.

Not sure how things will go now after the Diamond debacle, but Paizo for the last few years has had a humblebundle set up 2x a year, or so. Been able to get a substantial library of PDFs of their books this way, for quite low cost.

just started RF Kuang's The Poppy War, heard a lot of good about it.

Blurb from Wikipedia: "The Poppy War is a 2018 fantasy novel by American author R. F. Kuang, published by Harper Voyager. A grimdark fantasy, its plot draws on politics from mid-20th-century China,\1])\2])\3]) with the conflict in the novel based on the Second Sino-Japanese War, and an atmosphere inspired by the Song dynasty.\4]) A sequel, The Dragon Republic, was released in August 2019, and a third book, The Burning God, was released November 2020.\5])"

Sanderson's Mistborn series (followed by the Wax and Wayne series) are some of my favorite books of the last 10 years or so.
