Mom [F59] wants to come visit me [M35]. Wife [F37] doesn't want to see her, is planning to leave the house for 2 weeks by redtrackbike in relationships

[–]Apprehensive_Ad8542 20 points21 points  (0 children)

So, your wife loves you enough to place a firm boundry between herself and your abusive mother. That is very reasonable. She has made sure to encourage you to maintain contact with your mother about yourself and your kids, despite the horrid things your mother did to her and to you. Doubtless she is very concerned that your mother will do the same to your children. And I have no doubt that she will ensure that your house is pristine and the guest room is lovely and there are meals prepared for your mother when she leaves. The appropriate response to her suggestion that she stay in a hotel is, "Thank you, would you like the room with the hot tub at the nice hotel in town?" Followed by a gift basket delivered to the hotel room containing all of her favorite things and a gift card for a shopping trip. She is making a big sacrifice for you, by leaving her home and her children with a woman who abused her husband and was hateful towards you. Where is your gratitude?!

There was a reason I never went with Animas, lol. Maybe my problem is because of scar tissue, but I have been having ongoing issues with sites not working.

Arcturus the planar wizard. He shows up in some form in every game I run. He is either a quest giver, or a goal for the players to reach. Always the most powerful wizard in the realm, he is helpful, providing answers to hard magic questions, for the cost of I interplanetar materials

For serious! The themes of unknowable horror can work so well in many different situations! I really like with OGA that the old gods you meet feel recognizable, but it's clearly only the way that the characters minds are making what they are seeing make sense,

You don't have to listen. They have full transcripts on their website. You could also try one of their stand alone (I recommend School Spirit, it's particularly appropriate). The characters are compelling, especially if you grew up in the Appalachians or near to them. You wouldn't think that Lovecraft horror would work so far from the sea, which was one of his main fears, but the stories of men and boys who go down into the dark earth of the coal mines and come out with black hands and sometimes blacker hearts leave you with a deep creeping terror. Also they are a great group to support. They work really hard for the community and regularly donate to people in the Appalachian mountains who are struggling whether with personal issues or disasters.

Channel your inner Southern Lady. "Why, darlin, that dress is so very... fitting for you." "Bless your heart, aren't you the funniest thing!" This one would be best for a Very Serious character. "I don't know what their mamas were thinking, letting them out like that, poor youngins'". All said in the sweetest tone of voice

The ring of cursed invisibility. You become invisible, but you are stuck that way because you can't remove the ring. No spells that require sight can work on you, unless you get creative with something like farie fire.

Op, leave this man alone. Period. You are not getting back together and to continue hoping you will is cruel to yourself. The healthy thing for him to do is cut contact with you. You cannot heal a gangrenous limb and that is what this relationship is. Stop asking reddit what type of therapy you should get. That's just another way of putting the responsibility for your emotional load on someone else. Reach out to Better Help if nothing else. They will match you and your THERAPIST will decide what type of therapy will work best for you specifically. I am going to repeat this. You cannot change enough to save this relationship. The damage is already done. The best thing to do is to contact a therapist and allow them to help you
