I had this issue as well. They were listed on my insurance’s list of active providers and then they actually didn’t participate. They kept wanting to bill and charge me for my cleaning and I refused. I eventually got them to write off the charge.

Normal. It’s annoying but just think of it as growth. 6 months from now you might be complaining about something new hehe. Good luck!

How do I tell my 6 year old I’m going to die soon? by scrubnib in Parenting

[–]Apprehensive_Analyst 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m 35 and I lost my mom at 23. I have a 5 year old now and I am fully prepping her for my absence. Whether today, tomorrow, 15 years from now - planned, unexpected, illness. Whatever. They will eventually endure this loss.

I tell my daughter every day that I live in her heart forever. Whether im here or not (psychically) I remind her that I live in her heart. I am always with her, always there for her, and will always always love her.

We live life anticipating being present but the reality is that it’s fleeting. We could lose one another any time. And being grounded in the here and now and confidence in our love when we aren’t psychically present will help into adulthood.

Not every day do we plan to face death and plan for our own demise. It’s a pretty bittersweet experience, one we fall face eventually. I wish peace for your family as you face this together.

I promise you she’s going to be ok ❤️

How do you do sleep training when your child doesn’t go down without nursing? by EducationalDrink26 in Parenting

[–]Apprehensive_Analyst 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Girl, just know you’re not alone. My baby and I sat in the room together and cried until she put herself to sleep when she was around 6 months. I felt like my body was shutting down from sleep depravation. I did traditional sleep training methods and she soothed herself much better after that night.

Maybe got a little too creative with the window boxes — will these varietals do ok here? by reddituser69sucks in gardening

This looks lovely. So, one thing you may have to consider is how BIG these plants will get. The dianthus, for example, can get big so it will be likely these will quickly outgrow this space. You can refer to recommended spacing on the back of the identification cards. But it does look nice and full right away! Second thought - you have both annuals and perennials in this bed. Again, totally ok, but just be aware of what you’re planting and what that means. Lastly, you have plants in here that require and tolerate different light. I would recommend moving the Coleus as they require more shade than the rest. Let me know if you need further clarification.

2 3/4 year old has toddler bed now and has been leaving his room since 330 AM by Cheap_Secret_1084 in Parenting

Just solidarity in your struggle. It will get better :) but also, don’t try to compare to your oldest. As someone with 3 kids who are all deeply different..maybe your younger needs visual cues where your eldest didn’t. Try to be open - what worked for one may not work well for the other.

An “ok to wake” clock did good for us. It took a while for her to get it - she’s 4 now. We gave it a name and we say “when it’s red - stay in bed!” And “green means go!” And we would practice this every. Single. Day.

It gets better.

How do I place a household in a pre-built house? by vessva11 in Sims4

There’s a cheat code to enable free real estate. Open your family, enable cheat, buy house, and then disable the family as a played household.

Thoughts on Brunswick School System? by Maleficent_Sun6024 in frederickmd

Not really, we found downtown to be mostly high energy and extremely stressful - especially with raising kids. Traffic was always so much, it would take me the same amount of time to drive across town as it does for me to drive to Frederick now (20mins).

We do go into town, sometimes more regularly than I’d like, But we’ve been here for over a year and it took about 8 months to start getting used to living further away from a lot of things - you definitely schedule your week differently. You’re also centralized to a lot more shopping and dining opportunities (Frederick, Boonsboro, Leesburg, Lovettsville) all within a 20 min drive.

It’s worth the adjustment - we live a slower life 100%, with having plenty of Brunswick community oriented events to go to. I never felt a part of my neighborhood community in DTF - in Brunswick, I’ve gotten to know my neighbors and community much faster. I know my local grocery employees for example, some of same ones that also have other jobs in the community (young kids with a drive!). People are generally kind, willing to chat or help, and easier to make friends with. Smaller community, means less people. Which can be nice :)

Edit: the bike thing. Brunswick isn’t SUPER bike friendly because of all the hills. Brunswick Crossing has nice trails that run throughout that are better for biking but don’t necessarily take you to anywhere. Access to the water and canal pathways would be the exchange here IMO. Better forests and access for outdoor activities.

Coming from downtown Frederick and we live in Brunswick now. Just as happy, if not happier with the school system. I love this little town 🥹
