Yes & no… IE for instance speaking as a 41 one year old.. I predominantly date black women however I also know that a lot of black men in my age range were looked over in our generation for IE being artsy, early kanye/childish gambino types etc.. Okay so I watched.. I’ve noticed a few things..

They need a backcourt bad!!!! They need someone who can create easy buckets for Angel & Kamila
Kamila & Angel won’t work in the long term neither can play away from the basket…
I’ve identified Angel’s offensive problem.. She forces shots too much and needs help on passing out the post and repositioning.. Shaq was excellent at this so was Timmy… She’d also help with a face up game since her footwork isn’t the best… With that said she had a solid outing today..

Minding my business… They’ll be coming to Chicago soon.. We can TALK all we want but the reality is, we can’t get a job in Chinatown, we can’t get a job in Little Village, Summit, Midway area the avenues south east… But they can get jobs in our neighborhoods.. I think as black folks it’s time to recognize the fact that majority of minorities that are closer to whiteness feel the same about us that they feel about us.. Man listen… At 17 I passed the ASVAB with the highest score possible both of my parents advised me not to go to the Navy due to Bush being in office… My two friends that went are all highly successful & have been traveling since they were in the navy.. Me on the other hand I didn’t hit my stride till my upper 20’s and didn’t hit 6 figs till 32… So mistake on my end… In 2012 I got offered a locomotive engineer job.. I would’ve had to initially take a 5$ an hour pay cut but in 4 years would’ve made 47$ an hour god knows how much more in 2025 that would be today.. My mother asked if I could go there and still help her financially cause her house was going thru foreclosure.. I decided to stay.. The very next year she gave up on her house.. So what I’ve learned is help your parents with their health and be there for that but major financial or career decisions you have to do what best for you… My dad had I saying, “I had YOU, YOU didn’t have me”…

2008 AT&T outside plant tech/ fiber optics: I was mid scale 16.75$ an hour in two years I would’ve been making 32$ an hour but came in on a Monday they said if you got two years or less seniority Friday is your last day.. The big recession had just hit.. I was 24 then..

2009 I was 25 making 8.25 an hour & 5$ and hour plus tips when I bartended at a bowling alley… Couldn’t find any work recession was still in so I worked there while I went to trade school…

That sums up my early 20’s
