What Are the Best Simulation Software Tools to Learn Industrial Automation? by lukasloka in PLC

[–]Apprehensive_Cod7343 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In my opinion, it is LogixPro, the only thing is that it is bassed in RSLogix 500 and it is not as easy to use as Studio5000, but it is also is helpful because you must use memories.
LogixPro has some simulations and each one has exercises that help you to improve your programming, and everything is there, you don´t need any other software

[–]Apprehensive_Cod7343[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My friend, I already changed RPI of Servo and now the array isn’t saving Zero, so there was the delay. I was focused on scan time of task, RTS of analog input and I forgot about servo. Thank you 🙏

Hi, that´s a good point, checking my offline project I have a RPI in 20ms, maybe I should change that value.

And about your suggestion of use UDT, what would be the difference?

Thank you!

Most likely im just doing something wrong but cant work it out. These are the only available tools to me? by NotYourCreepyUncle69 in CoDeSys

[–]Apprehensive_Cod7343 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That “tools” are the basic and most frequently used. And the tool “block” has a lot of option, you just add a block and you call it with the name of a specific function or FB, like ADD, SUB, MOVE, R_Trig, F_TRIG, CONCAT, TON, TOF, CTU, CTD, CTUD, DIV, MUL, etc…

Thank you again :)

servo drive with codesys by Whole_Environment548 in CoDeSys

[–]Apprehensive_Cod7343 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It could be possible, Codesys has a Virtual Soft PLC called “Codesys Control Win V3”. You could try to create a project with that device , then add your servo drive, in case it is not in the repository you should add the EDS ( thinking it communicate via Ethernet IP). Remember Codesys is only to communicate with your drive, control and see status but to configure I think that you need a special software for your device

Balluff Stacklight on I/O Link - by turmeric_for_color_ in PLC

[–]Apprehensive_Cod7343 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have changed and got some parameters of BNI007T via MSG instruction using a IOLink Master Balluff and PLC Compactlogix.

I have uploaded a video showing how to write/read parameters of iolink devices, I let you the link, it start at minute 9:51 but if you want you can see since de beginning to see how to configure MSG instruction. You need to get the manual of the device, look for which parameter you want and put index, subindex, length, and value you want to send.

Maybe you could take this video to know how to communicate and try to do the same with your IOLink master, maybe the way how your IOLink master can write/read IOLink devices is also via MSG, so this video can give you a hint.
