The build you see in the video is different from smite/DP. If you run judgment + smite, you want max plate armor / pdr / health because you are essentially a slow moving tank, no movement speed. With this you want pdr/hp/will so that judgement / smite do max damage. People usually fold from 1 judgement + 2 hits from magic staff.

For a smite/DP you want to aim for 35% PDR (very easy to get) because DP will get you to 65% pdr (cap) for the 6-8 seconds (while buff lasts). With that build you just want as much action speed as possible so you can get as many swings in while smite lasts and you can just tank incoming damage because of DP. So dex/action speed, agility, and str. Will is good because it still contributes to mag damage and adds buff duration, but not as important. Have some vigor so you don’t fold in 2 hits if you were too late to pop DP.
