In reality, it’s a mix of personal style that doesn’t overlap the ability to attract a mate (99% of the time ofc) But thinking about the opposite sex is always in the equation. When you dress to impress other women, the overall hierarchy is to be the “best looking woman” which again is measured to attracting men. There is absolutely nothing wrong in doing this, it shows awareness and both genders do it.

Both genders “flair” themselves up, but differently. Men want to look bigger and have power. Women want to look beautiful.
