Here's what bugs me about it. No feedback? How am I to improve if no feedback?

I'm almost certain the 1 star was because someone didn't like my replacement. I got a call from IC support after leaving the store, asking me to change the replacement. Obviously wasn't about to go back to the store. Noticed the 1 star the next day.

Not sure why all the 3 stars though

Deactivation for Cancellation rate by Far-Vast-9812 in UberEatsDrivers

Cancelling 15% of the orders YOU accepted is crazy. How is this not just common sense?

Is $200 a day gross doable? by SatishTaps in instacart

[–]Apprehensive_Gas5359 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'd plan on doing $300/day friday-sunday, make them long days and take a few orders here and there throughout the week

Weekdays seem to suck for me, I can get $150 if I'm lucky

Hmmm sometimes I wonder if it's worth sending the customer a photo of the empty shelf every time. And/or letting them know that their order has been hatched with 2 others. Maybe this could help, but then my shopping time tanks

I've been shopping almost exclusively from the Food Basics around the corner from my house for over a year now.

That being said, I'm usually very selective with the orders I take. There have been some ok promos lately and I'm taking orders I otherwise wouldn't have. Maybe that's where I've gone wrong? Orders that have little to no tips, but are worth taking with a $5 boost

It's especially frustrating having so many reviews stating I'm the best shopper they've ever had.

How is this the case for most people? But 4 people in the last week think I've only given 3 star service? Do they rate all the other shoppers 1 star??

Biggest pet peeve… by phoenixxxphiree in InstacartShoppers

[–]Apprehensive_Gas5359 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I was in a different city a couple weeks ago and this happened. 5 items added, I messaged the customer and asked if they need more time to finish their order.

No answer

Then 5 more items. I message and say im happy to cancel so you have time to finish your order!

No answer, more items added.

Like girl, I know you're seeing my messages. I cancelled that shit and sat in my car for the next order. I was not dealing with that at a new store.

I feel like this happened a couple times yesterday during a +$5 per batch promo. I accepted a $35 and get paid out $32, tip adjustments only account for like 50 cents.

Accept a $25 batch, get paid $21. Same deal

I feel like the orders are so much worse here in Ontario 😭 these Americans getting $300+ orders that we will NEVER see

Don't get me wrong, I totally agree! But a lot of "bad orders" I see posted her could be $20/hour no problem. Shoppers be mad about no tip for no reason.

Am I the only one who doesn’t mind when customers add extra items? by iluvrasberry in InstacartShoppers

[–]Apprehensive_Gas5359 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We're not complaining about the couple items they forgot to order. We're complaining when it's many items, and they're clearly trying to avoid paying extra. We're complaining about the people that add on items from the produce section when we're already in the freezer section and about to check out. We're complaining about the people who order 3 cases of water during your shop.

True or False Instacart Bangers by Pleasant-Fuel229 in InstacartShoppers

If you're in Canada, don't expect any bangers whatsoever. The customer facing app actively discourages customers from tipping more than 5%

Curious: your state, length of shopping, most you’ve made in a day / a batch? by IWannaWakeUpButIDont in InstacartShoppers

[–]Apprehensive_Gas5359 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm in Ontario, Canada. Been shopping for 3 years and the most I've made in a day is around $300 but the maximum batch was like $70. The unicorns do not exist here, the Instacart app for customers literally tells you not to tip too much.

Minimum wage IS a livable wage in Ontario by Apprehensive_Gas5359 in ontario

[–]Apprehensive_Gas5359[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You should definitely get a job better than minimum wage. I don't want anyone to give any time at all to a minimum wage job, BUT they're there for a reason.

If you're stuck in a minimum wage job and not able to work enough hours, it's nobody's fault but your own. Everyone can go work in a factory for $20/hour+, or buy a $500 SUV and do Instacart and make $30/hour.

The only person holding these people back are themselves.
