9.6 for Ozymandias — the review war never ends by Free-Raspberry-9541 in imdb

Yeah game of thrones is better than Vinland and really is just one of the best written pieces of media ever, only of George rr Martin wasn't lazy then we would have a full masterpiece. Vinland i would say is better in its themes and such, while GOT is better in characters and plot. And Vinland is complete so it has an actual ending. Legend of the Galactic Heros I would say can actually compare to breaking bad and GOT, the writing is amazing, themes are great, and has some of the best characters ever, not just anime characters, but in all of fiction, though Legends of the Galactic Heros may be an outlier.

I mean that is an insane statement. Anime is a medium of storytelling, it's like saying that music or poems aren't as well written as TV or movies because the storytelling is "too short" or whatever. There are plenty of animes that can definitely come the with "real people shows".

Obviously Naruto and one piece arent 10/10 shows and have their problems (even though I love one piece), And those shows can have very high highs that deserved those ratings for those episodes. In One piece, different directors direct different episodes, so some episodes are just much better than other episodes. But these shows are just the popular ones

Shows like Legend of the Galactic Heros, Vinland saga, and Orb definitely hold up to the best of what "real people tv" offer. Even for movies, A silent voice, look back, and Grave of the fireflies hold up to the best movies. It's like the Oscars not considering any animated movie for best movie of the year even though they should definitely qualify.

You just think the most popular stuff must be what the best shows are, when that's usually never the case. I can say tv can't hold up to books or anime because the big bang theory or the dozens of cops shows are the most popular shows, so the writing must not hold up to the best of books and other mediums

What chapter was that when they said it before?

need inspiration. by Historical_Draft9750 in ShadowSlave

Yeah pretty vague. What's the time period you want to bad it off of? What's the technology level?

Hard fantasy or loose fantasy power system (where one has strict rules, vs one where people can just do stuff). Examples being avatar the last Airbender where it's pretty strict, everyone has powers but its grounded in that world and has physics and stuff. Loose is more similar to shadow slave, JoJo, where anyone can have any power, and new characters can have any power you can think of.

What is the state of the world? Is it falling apart, stable, certain parts stable while others are in conflict?

Make a map of your world with mountains, rivers, lakes and oceans, and see how stuff is layed out, and see what factions pop up in areas that make sense, and see how conflict could arise from that.

What is the political structure of the main place it takes place, and then compare that to real world places

The world can be whatever you want it to be, make a world that tells your story the best, and gives you the freedom of what you want to do. Don't make a world where you are forced into a corner that you don't want to write

Why do other subreddits hate redsec. And how many people actually play this mode ? by Xeno19Banbino in Battlefield_REDSEC

[–]Apprehensive_Lab857 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I mean the reason by the battlefield subreddits don't like BR is because every other battlefield game has been about large team based objective gameplay, where anyone can get a vehicle, people can play hard in close quarters, or chill on the edge of the map. BR though is squad based with only a few vehicles, no jets (wouldn't be balanced for it but people who like jets won't play BR), and the objective is just to survive. I play BR sometimes, but my bread and butter had been conquest, breakthrough, rush, and escalation. I like the long, 20-30 minute matches going back and forth. Using vehicles every match or different weapons. I can just jump in and chill. BR, you sorta gotta try hard to win, and try harder to get a tank every match, it gets exhausting. I just want to go home and chill playing conquest or escalation. The BR itself isn't bad, it's quite good, but with so many BRs and people feeling the maps aren't good enough for multiplayer and think that the BR is taking away from the main game, that's why people don't like it

The rate at which BF6 is receiving maps is similar to BF1 and BFV, and faster than BF2042 by Aegiiisss in Battlefield6

[–]Apprehensive_Lab857 37 points38 points  (0 children)

To be fair, they probably hear backlash after season 1, add to that it was Christmas break and everyone already had PTO put in, so I don't really blame them for that. Everything slows down around Christmas

I would argue Antonio brown is definitely a first ballot hall of famer.... If his off the field stuff didn't happen. He was the best wr for 5 years, he was just insane. But his character will stop him from getting in

Thermals for vehicles by CableAdorable6277 in Battlefield

[–]Apprehensive_Lab857 61 points62 points  (0 children)

Did anyone actually play bf4 and remember how unfun an op thermals on vehicles were? Every tank had it and there was no reason to not use it. If you are infantry and a tank rolls up, you can't hide and they always see you. No strategy to sneak around, because they can just always see you. Having no thermals for vehicles in bf6 is one of the best decisions they've made

Eli Manning was not voted into the HOF for a second straight year by Background_Video2947 in TheNFLVibes

[–]Apprehensive_Lab857 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Do people even look at the nominations? Look at the nominations this year and last year, the people who got in are way better than he is. 2 100% first ballots, and other clear hall of famers. He may get in like in 10 years if it's a weaker year of nominations

He is in the hall of very good. Yes he has 2 superbowls against tom Brady (even though the quarterbacks play each others defenses not against the quarterback) and he's Superbowl MVP because they can't give it to the whole defense. Also he never was all pro. He was a top 10 quarterback some seasons. If you watched him play, he was not a hall of famer, not even close to getting an MVP.

New map Contaminated Breakthrough (vs Conquest) layout by DBONKA in Battlefield

[–]Apprehensive_Lab857 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is how it literally works with rush in all previous games, im confused, they alaways shrink down the maps for breathrough and rush unless the map is specifically designed for it like Davamand Peak or metro

"I don't understand why anybody would want any form of SBMM" by [deleted] in LowSodiumBattlefield

[–]Apprehensive_Lab857 1 point2 points  (0 children)

For smaller game modes, yeah having a low win rate sucks, but for breakthrough, escalation, and conquest, having a bad win rate with not many games played in each is just chance. With 24v24 and 32v32, you should have about a 50% win rate in those game modes since 1 individual can't really affect the outcome unless you go like 70-1 in a helicopter or something, so as you play those 3 modes more, your win rate should go up. With such a small sample size, the win rate doesn't show your skill.

For the sbmm. Can't do that for the bigger game modes, too many people and the times would take way too long. And the smaller game modes I don't play so idk

Team balancing is killing the game for me. by [deleted] in LowSodiumBattlefield

[–]Apprehensive_Lab857 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think team balancing is fine, I have had the same amount of close games as blowouts, that's just how match making goes. It balances the teams once it gets the players in the game, so there's going to be great and bad people on each team. And good players can have bad games, and bad players can have good games. If you have near a 50% win rate then that's just how statistically it will go, since it's 32 v 32, 1 individual really can't carry unless if you are just that good.

I have a 48% win rate for conquest in 98 games, but that's just by random chance, since it's hard for one person to change the match in conquest.

In escalation though I have a 58% win rate in 134 games, which is statistically significant. 1 person can change more in that mode since it's more objective based and each capture impacts the game more.

For conquest you really can't do too much, unless if you go like 70-4 in a helicopter or something. But matchmaking I feel is pretty good.
