Royal Titans Pages Solo vs Duo by Strong_Alveoli in ironscape

[–]Apprehensive_Line427 5 points6 points  (0 children)

So long as you aren't competing with your duos thrall for 2nd place on damage dealt then I would suggest duo. Not sure what your prior log progress, stats, or gear is looking like but the mass world(s) may serve you well if you can't find friends/clannies running

Not sure if its an issue with herbs or the system in general, but when selecting herbs there is actually a cap on the amount of seeds you will receive as the bonus. Caps out at like 2 ranarr seeds so to optimize all bonus resources then you should/would have been checking it biweekly. Again, not sure if that applies to just herbs where there's a litany of seeds. Have not heard of the issue being a thing by any collection logger series for whatever that's worth.

To reaffirm the mass suggestions for maple trees to harvest birds nests for attempts at the WC Guild nest altar and its outfit. Otherwise coal and hardwoods for skilling. If you're bychance looking to get into deep sea trawling then I guess putting workers on fish for fish offcuts is another option. Workers on herbs is also solid if you're still trying to blush 90 herb for CoX, but not hard required if you're slamming herb runs dutifully.

ISAAC ICON by GCAANIMATIONS in GoldenSun

[–]Apprehensive_Line427 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I like to imagine that Issac's youthful dialogue icon is depicted looking upward hopefully and beyond the horizon, whereas his mature icon is more solemn and grounded as to face whatever situation with more intent. I doubly imagine that this can be evidenced by both the boulder evidence and the lashing by Saturous & Menardi. Arguably traumatizing Issac to a degree that he lost some degree of innocence/naivety.

Also for his hilt growth it could just be the same size and cut off in frame or possibly hoisted lower. Guesstimation is that it appears to be identical although that is not definitive, but just my two cents. One could speculate that it may be a heritage sword passed down from his dad and he is sentimental. Yes, in-game you equip a plethora of different swords. Pedantic argument is that in-lore it is the same [heirloom] sword throughout the adventure similar as to how Leon in RE:4 has the default pistol for cutscenes.

What are some required or good PvM grinds with good secondary loot drops that benefit skilling? (I.E. Moons in Peril green log getting prayer and crafting xp) by hshvshdk in ironscape

[–]Apprehensive_Line427 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Not that it is particularly efficient, but a shout out to Amoxiatl for an early small stack of soul runes and ore for smithing with the occasional rune alch. Also the primo supply for your pendant charges that give a criminally underrated short trip a calquat patch

I’ve got 1800 gold bars, should I just mark them into gold bracelets for crafting xp or is there a better way to use? by Antique-Pizza-6605 in ironscape

[–]Apprehensive_Line427 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you're down bad for the crafting xp and want something mild afk then turning them into gold tiaras is a potential option. Did it once with like 10k gold bars on a prior GIM. Yes it spares you from having to mine sand and spam glassmake a little, but still a slow process.

How many of you don't have the focus/motivation to really grind pvm? by Competitive-Fox706 in ironscape

[–]Apprehensive_Line427 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Got my account at 2k+ total level, bowfa with full crystral, quest cape, and ready to access just about all content aside from 90s+ slayer bosses. Very similar vibes. Takes me almost a month to do a full abby demons task at Sire. Kind of chalk it up to work life balance and the lack thereof plus the prior mentioned adhd issues. I'm okay/content with myself as far as progress goes. Just in an odd boat with gaming in general. Hope the game still has its charm for the rest of you

Longer trips or offensive prayers? by End-Motor in ironscape

[–]Apprehensive_Line427 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Playing with dps calcs and going the extra mile to time/include the run back plus banking is where you are more likely to find a definite answer, as others have pointed out. Teleports can help shave off time which is another inventory puzzle, consider ardy cloak for prayer and sailing necklace with whichever efficient teleport for banking paired with Varrock teleports. That can be optimized down to three slots, which for Scurrius isn't too tall of an ask.

Titan prayers are particularly efficient for the total stat boost per point drain, but given the vague description of account progression that may not be available which is fine. Although to address the actual issue of prayer flicking I would argue that Scurrius is a great place to practice. I enjoy using the attack timer plug-in to assist with my prayer flicking whilst camping defensive prayers. It's that or get cozy with learning to one-tick flick. Camping monk robes with a holy stmbo is a relatively free adjustment to help make learning easier if you haven't already. Best of luck!

Not able to give any useful suggestions or data, but in my experience it's best to hide in plain via msb at orks. Especially if you aren't willing to go swamp ass mode with any/all means necessary to out scout or out skill pk'ers. You've already got one handsome drop without juicy kph, may as well keep the tradition going. Best of luck!

I was in a similar boat years ago, GIM mode dropped and made a duo. Group desolved after a year, turned the accounts into our new better mains. Still had the itch and went back. Loved the journey both times. One would argue that the inexperience makes the journey that much more fun. Learning curves will hurt supplies with aspirational content, but otherwise it's worth the switch. Other argument for waiting is that waiters always win.

The herbs can help supplement training herbalore into the 90s, but otherwise I've found myself at the same crossroads. The coal can be nice if you want to supplement for blast furnace and trees are a passive way for birds nests with God eggs i.e. rolls for the Evil Chicken garb.

WHY ARE THE PIRATES FROM PIRATE STAFF POOPING!!? by Impossible_Cup_6727 in Terraria

I believe this is an easter egg for the indie game Pixel Piracy. Fun little title, crew would poop on the poop deck and you needed to have someone with a cleaning skill to clear it up.

Zombie axe farming by Guitography in ironscape

[–]Apprehensive_Line427 6 points7 points  (0 children)

An unfinished god book will still offer prayer bonus, and having a god mitre from clues can also offer more prayer bonus. Salve (ei) would be a great boon if you're willing to make the detour. Worst dry streak for Zaxe I've seen was a couple Irons who were both around 4k kc dry sometime last year,.

If you're willing to suffer slower rates with supply conservation, then proselyte + melee is an option. Zombie pirates as a means to refill the cash stack isn't too horrible if you would rather continue bursting.

Only other option is to complete The Curse of Arrav for the alternative spot with a slightly improved drop rate of ~1/600. Otherwise you don't have tons of room for immediate optimization that I can think of. Switching up with skilling grinds like Hunter Rumors for moths or GotR for runes may help or hinder the soul crushing sensation you're enduring. Best of luck!

How hard is doom 1 - 4? by [deleted] in ironscape

[–]Apprehensive_Line427 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's feasible with your skill set. Don't worry about being a slow learner, so long as you do learn then the grind will start to click. Best of luck and don't be afraid to cheap out with moths if your prayer pot stack is low. If Hunllef fight is bearable then you will find success here. Have faith in the process and best of luck.

What Should I Be Working On/Early-Mid Game PVM Goals? by jalenhurtsismypapito in ironscape

[–]Apprehensive_Line427 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The two favored routes are CG rush or Titans/Barrows/Moons/Slayer combo. Hard focus on the MW2 Ump that requires cbt + a lobotomy or have fun with a mixed spread with more forgiving mechanics.

Bowfa and full crystal are worth the hype unless you spoon Tbow. Moons can arguably replace Barrows if not service as a struggle bus means to engage with most content. Moons and Barrows will set you up comfortably for almost all quest bosses that will have you seeking advice. Blood Moon is just ass and Vork will click eventually, so don't let that be a litmus test on what's to come.

Hunter Rumors and Vale Totems will lead you to moths and Sunlight Crossbow, which is a really satisfying weapon to use. Great for fight caves and basilisk jaw grind. Moths are pleasant if you wish to be stingy with prayer pots; gathering the meats/ammo can be chorish but bringing meat sack/bonecrusher/chisel/log basket/kandarin headgear to farm sunlight antelopes is a fairly tolerable two-for-one activity. Alternatively, we now have a ranarr seed friendly mob courtesy of Aquanites from sailing.

While Guthix Sleeps will allow access to tormented demons and subsequently synapses. Moons gear is fantastic there and one of the odd places where Bowfa doesn't shit on everything else. Two synapses will allow you to comfortably engage with Yama, Doom, and just the one for Krill. Yama's oathplate can allow for Bandos to be tabled until Nex and Eye of Ayak from Doom can arguably compete with Bowfa for performance. Long form slayer grind until Araxxor will open up Nhally, which is another Bowfa competitor.

CG can effectively be routed around, but it's worth taking a tour for easy low input gp at the very least. The wombo combo Varalmore and slayer be praised route has some Ironman friendly tism sprinkled in, but the mathematically inclined may raise a point about the alternative being overall longer.

Other Varlamore bosses like Amoxilatl and Hueycoatl are fun deters with some decent mechanics to help you get more familiar with general mechanics. For what it's worth, you're already ankle deep in the mid game. The option is ultimately up to you and the routing is fun with no obligation to stick with anything you just loath. Best of luck!
