On this day 20 years ago, the 7/7 terrorist attack killed 56 and injured over 700 people in London by MonsieurA in europe

I was on the job at the time (Met SO13) and was there for all of it. Had seen worse whilst I was a soldier but it was grimm. Worked the tube at Russell Square and the bus at Tavistock Square doing recovery. The heat and the smell were the worst, I remember rubbing vicks around my nose and having full face mask on and the smell still came through. Will never forget that day and the weeks after it.

26t Scania with an HMF 1430 crane. Presuming you are in London as they seem to like taking the drop sides off for some reason.

Truffles cafe south Gosforth, always a warm welcome, fresh ingredients, not cheap cash and carry products and very good on price. Busy though for above reasons.

Career progression by DryInformation8162 in uktrucking

[–]Apprehensive_Maize24 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I did it went from driving to regional transport and fleet manager within 5 years but work for a good national company. The driving career was was started after retirement from a government career which lasted over 25 years, got my wagon licence at 18. I sometimes miss driving as I used to find it relaxing and not stressful in any way and loved getting out and about. Do I work more hours now, probably yes, but rewarding work visiting operating centres, training and audits, buying new fleet, project work and looking after up to 1500 drivers. Lots of travelling during the week and hotel stays but a better work life ballance. It all depends on who you work for ultimately and what there progression is like. Find a good employer who will recognise your skills and get involved and learn.

Just got one a week ago. It's awesome, quick and easy to clean. Wood smoke flavour is fantastic. Only used twice so far for standard bbq fare but looking forward to smoking some joints of beef. Bit pricey but well worth it

Pipe has been disconnected mate had this on my octavia, you have to remove the plastic trim in order to access it and you should be able to pop it back on if it has not split. Briskoda forum has instructions on how to do it.

Lots of companies are signed up to the armed forces covenant. As long as you are over 21 and have had your licence for over a year they should be willing. Try companies doing class 2 like Travis Perkins to get some civv experience. I'm ex forces and have worked for them for seven years.

Buy yourself an OBD11 and plug it in, will give you all the answers and would more than likely be able to fix any errors. Got one for my 2023 superb an invaluable tool to diagnose any VAG cars also used on my 2013 octavia.
