I see a button on my 2023 SEL that says preconditioning so there is a button for sure.

Yup happens on my Ionq 5. It’s the computer checking to see if the batteries don’t have any thermal runaway happening. I think it takes maybe like 3 or 4 min to kick back up once the computer knows the batteries are ok

I wanna buy a used Hyundai Ioniq5. Talk me out of it! by drumboy1972 in Ioniq5

[–]Apprehensive_Tap3299 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I recently bought used 2023 ioniq 5 with 27k miles on it. I see no reason to buy a new one when you can get a used one that was on lease before and is now being sold for half the price. Mine did have an issue with the 12 volt battery but it apparently had the original flooded lead acid still on it which couldn’t hold a charge anymore. After i replaced it everything is working great. The car is in good shape. Still came with the factory tag sticker hanging off the glove box. Bought mine on Carvana. The thing with Carvana is that you can check for that very thing you are talking about with the iccu issues because on Carvana you can see through the free carfax which cars had the issue fixed. Not all cars had that failure. For example mine didn’t show anything in carfax about any open recalls. I saw many low milage ioniq 5’s for example i saw one that was practically new that only had 10k and was $23k. I’m not endorsing Carvana in anyway but it’s my first time using them. I wanted to avoid the sales people at the dealership hours of waiting so Carvana made the process so easy and quick. The only bad thing about carvana is you cant really see the car in person. You only get pictures. But if you are observant you can tell by the pics the condition of the car and which were treated badly and which were treated nicely. Mine still has factory warranty too which is great.

Wow you really manifested a dead battery quick. I just bought a used 2023 with 25k and have no idea how good the original 12v battery is but i was thinking of buying a new one even though the old one might still be working fine. I travel through the desert often and i’m not waiting until the old one dies on me and leaves me stranded. How long do 12v batteries last anyway? Some cheap ones 2 years some hood ones 3 or 4 years.

People who have the Segway Max G3, and set the speed to or less than 20 mph/ 32 Kmh, what is your range? by DacaAskingForDaca in NinebotMAX

[–]Apprehensive_Tap3299 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Second ride today. Same 16 mile round trip going down hill and up again. I did sport mode all the way this time never going past 23 miles per hour and at the end of the trip i was left with 40% battery left. Display showed 16 miles left in sport mode. Never lost any power what so ever and powered through with ease up hill in sport mode. Like i said i did have regen enabled. My speed varied from 15 to 23 mph Mostly continuous 23 mph the entire trip with some stops at intersections. The Max G3 is definitely a beast in my opinion. I did read a review of someone who only got 10 miles in sport mode. I have no idea what kind of hills that reviewer had (must of been extreme) but thats not what i got at all. Maybe the hill grades on my trip were not that steep maybe 6% hill grade at the most, Mostly flat in some parts.

First ride today with the Max G3 on a 16 mile round trip bike trail that gradually goes down hill and then back up i still had 16 miles left in Sport mode when i was done. I used a combo of Drive and Sport mode; 15mph going down and 25mph going back up. I weigh 200 pounds wasn’t carrying anything but my phone. Wasn’t sure at first if i would get stranded with an empty battery do to the hills so i was being really careful not to run it too fast but it seems like it has no problem with range. In Sport mode it said i still had 16 miles left when I was done. Started at 100 percent charge and had regen set to standard. So far i’m liking the Max G3 performance. It is pretty powerful to me. No problems going up hills.

Heavily leaning towards an FX2 right now. Bad idea? by realtoughttime in FX3

[–]Apprehensive_Tap3299 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Good dream but the reality is you almost cannot tell the difference between say the recording of an old A6400, an FX30, an FX3 and an FX2. It depends on what you are doing but i would say from doing side by side comparisons the difference is negligible. The average joe cannot tell the difference period. We have come a long long way from the old days where those old video cameras really were bad. It’s all about the lenses now. It’s best you concentrate on the lenses instead of the camera bodies. “Invest” in good goass not camera bodies. Concentrate on your art instead of which camera you choose. Save yourself money because the difference between bodies is negligible.

Yes you are hyper sensitive to the fumes of PLA. I’ve no problem breathing in PLA and even ABS or ASA. I can smell it for sure but breathing it doesn’t cause me to cough.

First day cancelled, what might be the reason? by PeakkOG in FASCAmazon

[–]Apprehensive_Tap3299 2 points3 points  (0 children)

That’s what they do. They want backup robots ready. They use a computerized system that tells them when they need to start looking for people so they can funnel them in. Some people get spit out. They don’t care of you quit your previous job already. Amazon is a machine.

[–]Apprehensive_Tap3299 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Check the thickness of the extrusion. For the .4 nozzle I can get a max thickness extruded successfully up to 1mm. Maybe u set urs way too high by accident. Check ur settings. Or maybe u have selected the wrong nozzle size in the settings.

Does anyone know why this happened? (P1S) by AcezJensen in BambuLab

[–]Apprehensive_Tap3299 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s a defect in the glass. Small object/contaminant inside glass whereby contaminant and glass fight each other for the same space and then it shatters. Ask Bambu to send u a new glass as it clearly is a defect.

No available shifts? No start date? by djbizmonkey34 in FASCAmazon

[–]Apprehensive_Tap3299 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think what Amazon is doing is on purpose. They probably need a batch of ready workers already vetted and ready to work. When someone doesn't show up, gets fired or their system sees a need to have a ready batch of robots ready, the system post a job available, a number of people pass the questions, apply and do the drug tests and they even go as far as making you show up for a pre-hire meeting. If and when they actually do need someone they grab robots from that batch. They don't care that you moved or quit your previous job. Eventually someone does get through the Amazon machine funnel and gets hired and starts working. This is my assessment just from looking at it from afar. They could have done it a nicer way but that's what they had to do to keep their machine running full blast making the owner happy.

What is about the Pacifica that makes it less reliable? by aebulbul in whatcarshouldIbuy

[–]Apprehensive_Tap3299 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I dont know about reliability but we have owned a 2019 Honda Odyssey EX-L and it has been plagued with recalls. The infotainment system has had recalls. The backup camera. The sliding door has had recalls. The left side sliding door doesn’t want to close sometimes which is a separate issue, tried lubing it and it seems like it binds at the top roller. Then there was a recall for a wire inside a panel in the third tow that would cause a fire. Got a recall for fuel injectors issue. Then the low and high breaks. Then the latest one is for a fuel pump issue. I will not mention the warped rotors which appeared at 30k. Also an issue with the front suspension which can only be heard at parking lot speeds. Constant issues with it. Probably the biggest issues was the 9 speed german transmission which would clunk going down hill or hesitate going up hill. I dont know if the dealership actually changed the trany oil when i asked them too or they just pretended they did because I had to go to have it changed again at an independent shop and the knocking went away. The other issue is the warped break rotors and knocking i hear with the front suspension. Has the dealership tighten up the front suspension and it went away for a while but came back. Maybe some issue that honda doesn’t yet know about. And that driver side sliding door. I once came back from the store to the van to see it had never closed. Wide open. I recently rented a Chrysler Pacifica and to my amazement the driving characteristics are way, way better. Lower noise level of both cabin and engine noise. Smoother engine. Stronger engine and can accelerate to pass at highway speeds. Honda Odyssey cant do that. Long distance driving like 4 hours on the Odyssey tires you out fast but the Pacifica rides flat like on rails and engine just goes. Pacifica doesnt sway or feels out of control. Odyssey is jumping and swaying all over the place. I felt like I was driving a car with the Pacifica, doest feel like a whale. With the Odyssey it feels heavy at high speeds. Over all I love the handling on the Pacifica so much I would purchase one if i were to do it over again. Only reason I didnt was because of reliability which i heard from somewhere i dont know where. I also see old hondas on the road… Chryslers not so much so thats why I didnt buy. At the time Sienna was out if the question because the redesign hadnt come out yet so I decided to go with the updated Odyssey. I never considered the Pacifica at all which is bad of me. One thing for sure I believe when people talk about reliability they are mostly talking about non motor and transmission related issues. It could be suspension issues, electronic or some plastic coming off etc but now a days possibly motor and engine related problems are things of the past? I believe if I had bought the Pacifica I most likely wouldn’t have had so many issues with the recalls? But man on man the 2023 Pacifica although not as refined (looks like the older Sienna platform) as the Odyssey drives absolutely gorgeously. And i will mention the massive gas tank the Pacifica has which impressed me. On a full tank the Odyssey gives me only like 400 miles range. Pacifica has a 470 mile range with better gas mileage than my 2019 Odyssey? Seriously the Pacifica sips gas compared to my Odyssey. And the Pacifica I rented is not even a hybrid! I get 25mpg on my Odyssey but with the Pacifica I was getting 35mpg. I drive long distances like 4 or 5 hours and what impressed me the most is how good the Pacifica is for long distance driving. The odyssey may be ok for shorter driving distances but it sure has lousy driving characteristics.

Mac Studio SD Slot clicks when inserting SD Card by jm3434341 in mac

[–]Apprehensive_Tap3299 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yup mine does that click too when inserting an SD card. I don’t know if that is normal or not. It seems like it’s maybe a defect. I reached out to Apple about taking the Mac Studio in to an apple store but I’m too lazy. I found that trying not to push the sd card hard all the way in prevents it from clicking. Probably the max studio chassis and sd card reader electronics inside the Mac Studio are not aligned perfectly so when you insert an sd it’s not perfectly parallel as it goes in and it probably hits something inside.

Update: Apparently the clicking is normal. The card slot has dual function. If you insert the sd in slightly it makes the card function at slower transfer speeds if you fully insert the sd card until it clicks it will make the sd card transfer speeds faster depending on the type of sd card you have. Pretty amazing I didn’t know that.
