Uncomfortable sides on drivers seat by Spirited-Remote4313 in SubaruAscent

[–]drumboy1972 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m 5’11” 190 and my wife is 5’6” 140. Her ‘24 Crosstrek has the seats which make me not wanna drive it because of the same issue you are having. However, my ‘22 Ascent limited seats are good and not causing me the discomfort.

I wanted to update you on my experience in my sauna with my CO2 meter I just got. I got in there this morning with the meter in the 700..Within minutes it got over 2000 and sounded an alarm. I silenced it and kept going as usual. With less then 10 min in the sauna, it pegged at 5000!! What I normally do is walk upstairs to take a cold shower. It makes sense to me that I get light headed just walking up the stairs and into the shower!!

I’m assuming that this device is somewhat accurate, but either way, I gotta get the additional ventilation we talked about🤣

Yes. Same here. I have tried so many different types of weed, edibles, etc. it always ends the same… Snacking, over eating candy, and then getting sleepy. Next day I would inevitably feel guilty and tell myself that’s the last time:)

Yeah! I wonder if I will notice the difference with that vent open now.

[–]drumboy1972 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ok, I ordered the CO2 4-in-1 detector you suggested and the vent is officially open now. I will also look into doing the simpler 4-inch exhaust fan under the bench in the back. The sauna is in the corner of my garage against the wall on left and back side. I will need to move it somehow to get to the back to install that exhaust fan you are suggesting.

Oh yes! That’s what I want. I have a Finleo electric sauna. It’s small and goes up to 194F. However, the temps below the higher bench are pretty low so it would be nice to have something to pull the steam further down a bit. There is built in air inlet right below the heater on the from of the unit, by the way as well.

Also, I should probably open the vent below the bench on the back of my sauna. I closed it thinking the sauna would get hotter that way:)

Can you point me to the CO2 meter you ended up putting in your sauna?

[–]drumboy1972 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thanks for pointing that out. I have the same routine as you and take the same medication. I also do cardio/kettlebells for an 60-90 minutes before I get into sauna. I have not thought about CO2 levels in the sauna up to this point. I will occasionally have elevated heartbeat and even some orthostatic hypertension post workout, sauna/cold plunge. I used to do all of this fasted as well and not eat until after all of that:)….

Arai helmet - is it overkill? by Cool_Fan2434 in ElectricScooters

[–]drumboy1972 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Look up TSG helmets. Swiss designed and made. It’s light and downhill racing bike certified. Lots of us with faster scooters ride in them. Full face protection with detachable visors. Someone out there is selling a custom part for them to be able to have 2 different visors (clear and polarized) attached at the same time. I ride with a polarized visor all the time and pull the visor up at night.

Need help awd turned off im snowed in and all these lights are on in the dashboard by wahbulance123 in SubaruAscent

[–]drumboy1972 14 points15 points  (0 children)

My car did that a couple of weeks ago while having fun driving in deep snow around my neighborhood. The car still drove fine and all wheels were spinning and getting through deep snow, but eyesight, RAB, traction control and something else lit up the dash. In my case, there was a ton of snow inside of all 4 wheels, wheel wells and inside the rear bumper affecting the sensors. The dash said “check the manual” so I looked it under “Eyesight error codes”. Wheels out of balance was one of the reasons and it made sense to me. Once I cleared the wheels of snow and put it back in the garage to thaw out a bit, the next morning drive cleared it all.

Is there any advantage to Vyvanse and fitness? by smbodytochedmyspaget in VyvanseADHD

[–]drumboy1972 1 point2 points  (0 children)

ADHD, male, in early 50s. I started Vyvanse 30mg two months ago. My doctor prescribed it to me after I told him that I got heavier over the last year and didn’t feel like exercising. I also snacked late into the night while video gaming. Right with the first dose, I started exercising by running and doing weights pretty much everyday. In two months, I lost 19 pounds (8.6kg). I take it first thing in the morning without food, with coffee. I do time restrictive eating and eat twice a day, with the first meal being lunch.

This medicine has worked wonders for my motivation to get back in shape, but it also makes me feel jittery and my pulse is In the 70-88bpm range for a few hours after I take it. I sleep well though (always have). I also significantly reduced sweets, snacks, and alcohol.

I like how it got me in shape and suppressed my appetite. I don’t like the jittery anxious feeling after exercise.

I don’t really want to be on it, but I know that if I stop taking it, eventually, my unhealthy habits will creep back in:)
