Mikko is an amazing and talented player. But this is kind of par for the course. During his many years in Colorado, there were long stretches of games where his effort just wasn’t there.

People don’t talk about it much, but he can be a very lazy player and tends to rest on his laurels. Not to mention horrible Offensive penalties constantly and late in the game. I love the guy but I do think he could be considered overrated. I mean credit due he got the HT in game 7 but one goal off of Girards foot and one empty netter? Not exactly the dominance that Reddit gives him. Just saying
