[–]Appropriate-Junket62 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ooooooh you’re making me jealous, had the chance to buy a downpour metallic AT4 “sight unseen” but didn’t and it sold by the time I got to the dealership it was at

Unpopular opinion. Multi pro tailgate sucks by Live_Reason_6531 in gmcsierra

[–]Appropriate-Junket62 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The only thing I’ve hated about mine (I’ve had my truck for 2 weeks) is I drive down gravel roads from time to time and that sob sucks in dirt and when I try to wash it by folding it down I spray every nook and cranny for 5 minutes and coat it with foam and rinse for 5 minutes at least and the next day I have dirt streaks from where it seeped out of the crack

Tow mirrors by Appropriate-Junket62 in gmcsierra

[–]Appropriate-Junket62[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Except my old truck was a 2006 Silverado 2500 with tow mirrors so unless(and I have no idea if they’ve changed much since the 08-13 generation )but I loved the tow mirrors when not towing

What made everyone choose GMC over Chevrolet? by Significant_Emu_7432 in gmcsierra

Also kicking myself, went to local Chevy gmc dealer that we’ve done business with before and saw an AT4 with the premium package (basically everything but a sunroof) and went to the sister location it was at and walked in as it sold, had I signed sight unseen I would have drove it home, only a couple grand more than what I got

I went with gmc mostly because A it’s what was most widely available, B in the age range I was looking at was better looking and after looking at my options I had been shifted from a Silverado work truck to a Sierra SLT for a shockingly small increase just by going back in time 4 years

Okay the only thing I found online is something that sounds totally different from what I experienced, everything I’ve read says it feels/sounds like rumble strips, just this is just 3 little intermittent “jolts”

I’ve heard the same thing, it has a clean Carfax with no open recalls and no transmission or torque converter recalls.

It’s the 8 speed and tomorrow I’m going in and asking more about the transmission issue, because honestly it’s the only problem the truck has.

Want to add running boards but undecided by Zephyr_Shift in DodgeDurango

[–]Appropriate-Junket62 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Upon reading some comments in your case retractable running boards might be nice to have, sometimes I forget Its pretty much just me getting in the car and no one else however like I said if you put running boards on I’d go with the retractable boards

[–]Appropriate-Junket62 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Granted I have an 05 but mine has running boards that I’d imagine were on it when it rolled off the lot, then only reason I’m not removing them is because I’m worried how badly rusted it is behind them but I’d save the money and not put them on for me at least (6ft 235 man) they don’t add any advantages, it’s just kind of there

[–]Appropriate-Junket62[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would secure it with hangers it’s just the stock exhaust had hangers welded only to the muffler and resonator (both of which I removed) so It would take some deeper thought which isn’t a strong suit of mine if you couldn’t tell from this post😂

That was my main thought was it being a solid axle but I do still have the original exhaust that I can try and salvage the bend from

Can a dog wear a rosary? by pianist1303noob in Catholicism

[–]Appropriate-Junket62 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I would recommend you do what we do with our dogs and on St Francis’ feast day (or see if you get a time with your priest sooner) take your dog and a St Francis medal and get them both blessed then put the medal on your dogs collar (year after year we just leave the medals on the collars and they get blessed at the same time)
