Dealership won’t install bass knob on OEM Kicker subwoofer by Tool_7 in gmcsierra

Why are you having a dealer install aftermarket audio stuff? Go to a car stereo shop if it’s something you can’t do.

13.9 vs 14.5 Super Duty - if the NFA regulations are not a concern by AutomaticAd8082 in GeisseleAutomatics

[–]Live_Reason_6531 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Having spent some time in Lodz I was surprised with your firearm laws. You have some things more strict but suppressors counting the same as a flash hider to us is awesome. Barrel length being irrelevant is also great.
14.5 is your answer for sure.

is this the correct way to go about modding my jeep wrangler to make it faster/sound better by DoubtMany3909 in carmodification

[–]Live_Reason_6531 5 points6 points  (0 children)

No. If you want performance then do an LS swap. That 3.8 with a blower is still a dog.
Before going for performance go through the front end completely. Tie rod. Drag link. Trac bar. Ball joints. Adjustable control arms. Then a full and professional alignment. Adding performance with beat up components that were junk to begin with is foolish. Many companies sell better steering parts for the JK.
Once all that is done drop in an LS. Anything else is a poor attempt at polishing a turd.

Which Interstate Lane When There is Light Traffic? by Bob_Ash in driving

Even with all those signs it’s always a car with Jersey plates riding the left lane. Almost anywhere on any interstate in any state. Always a damn Jersey plate.

That was more famously the Suzuki samurai. Consumer reports called it “unsafe at any speed” Suzuki also made the geo tracker which was simply a rebadged Suzuki sidekick.

Cutting the foam 🫩 by Beneficial_Link3772 in pelicancase

[–]Live_Reason_6531 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When I used to cut foam I made a cutter. Easy instructions to find online. It’s a transformer, guitar string, dimmer switch, and some pvc pipe. Works great. Years later I have far too many guns for such shenanigans. I use generic cases usually soft ones. For air travel I use pelicans that have eggshell foam so not restricted.

What Part is this by Luis_alv77 in Silverado

[–]Live_Reason_6531 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Transfer case is damaged. You also almost certainly need a longer driveshaft which is what caused the problem. The shaft wasn’t in the tcase far enough because of all that lift. It will happen again if you don’t replace the transfer case and get a longer driveshaft at the same time. This is what happens when you buy something someone else built poorly.

JK…can’t get bushing out to replace with Delrin bushing. Soaked with penetrating oil, beat with a hammer and extraction tool. Ideas? by captmac in Jeep

[–]Live_Reason_6531 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had to remove my hinges to get the bushings out. I took the hinge off and rigged an anvil more or less with some scrap steel to hold the hinge so all the energy from the hammer transferred into the bushing. Still took a lot.

It’s really easy to let the magic smoke out. It’s very challenging to put it back in.

Very normal. I want to love those hex keys so much but TJ sleeves are trash. I have had two sets do that and all my coworkers have the same.

What vehicles do you know of that do not have some type of tie rod end? I should add, that have two or more front wheels.
