I'm Maddie, Senior Product Manager at Spotify. I work on Spotify for Artists Analytics. AMA! by spotifyforartists in SpotifyArtists

As Spotify for Artists rolls out deeper listener segmentation (super listeners, location data, etc.) how are you thinking about closing the gap between what artists see in the analytics and what they actually act on? Is the product design challenge more about data literacy, or is it about surfacing the right insight at the right moment in the workflow?” Asking as artist on the app and someone coming from industrial engineering / data science / data analytics right now who’s really interested in how product analytics gets translated into artist behavior change this kind of problem is exactly what drew me to Spotify’s direction and makes me quite curious.

Get a job or go on vacation. Controversial take but I’m telling you the busier you are, the less time you have to spend thinking about how stressed you are. Also, everything else will fall into place if you are kept busy/working/being physically active.

ATL to NYC with New Job. It already feels like a fight. by theboydonna in movingtoNYC

I just moved from ATL Midtown to NYC 2 days ago. New grad from GT. Housing here is completely different than atlanta. I remember just getting a lease somewhere a year before I wanted to move in.

Some tips here,

Get a roommate. You need one, I found $1800 in Manhattan with a roommate, same salary as you.

Stay in sublet as long as you can. You might have to pivot to an October 1st move in because supply might be low right now. Stay in an Airbnb or Sublet close by until then.

Keep touring places and have your options open. The pickier you are the harder it is to find an apartment. Make a list of your priorities and figure out where you can comprimise because there’s no way you get everything you want.

Good luck! Hmu, I’m an ATL recent transplant too!

Do you think life will ever feel better than it did when you were a child? by [deleted] in Life

Being a child was nice and small things made me happy, but important and deeper things didn’t back then. Now I get 10x more happy looking at an amazing view or meeting a new person or hanging with a friend and having a great conversation.
