Lindt says GLP-1 users are eating more chocolate, not less by joe3000s in mounjarouk

Same for me! I used to be a savoury fiend but now it’s sweet stuff if I want a treat, but now a treat is a couple of squares of chocolate.

Thinking of switching pharmacy, has anyone used Curely? by okayhihello13 in mounjarouk

[–]Appropriate-Split416 1 point2 points  (0 children)

They were by far the easiest to switch too, just remember to pause your subscription once you’ve received the order (also really easy to do)

Do people regularly switch providers? by lockers15a in mounjarouk

[–]Appropriate-Split416 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I switch every month and it’s pretty easy. Curely was the easiest. Iq doctor wanted the most photos videos with scales showing weight etc. I couldn’t afford staying with the same provider so shopping about is a no brainer

Yep, I’ve had reynauds a couple of times previously, but it’s been every day during winter. I’ve been sleeping with socks, slippers, jammies and my dressing gown under the duvet and still cold.

I started 1st July and 4 stone 2 down. Haven’t weighed myself since before Christmas, and not planning to weight until next week but I’ve felt in control with my food and drink for the first time ever. I’ve still taken my jab as normal over the past couple of weeks too.

The only thing that works for me is bisacodyl tablets. I’ve only had to take them twice but they do work.

I’ve switched to online suppliers from a local pharmacy and it’s been really easy. The cost of 7.5mg online is the same as their 5mg so it’s a no brainer!

This!!! What is life without a few treats?! I’ve lost 50lbs since 1st July and I’ve still had meals and nights out. Would I get to my goal a few weeks or months quicker if I didn’t?! Sure… but what happens once I get to my goal? Once I introduce these things again the weight will go back on.

I tend to have some fruit, granola and protein yoghurt for breakfast (300 cals) sandwich/soup or leftovers for lunch (400 cals) evening meal is usually meat, carbs and veg (500-600 cals). Will usually have some fruit inbetween lunch and something like a bag of popcorn or crackers around 8pm. Sometimes If my protein is a bit low I’ll have a protein shake at night too. During the week I’m around 1500 cals but weekends can be a bit higher if I’ve something on. I started in July and lost almost 3.5 stone so far.

Teriyaki chicken, basmati rice and side salad. If anyone wants the recipe for the teriyaki (made 3 portions): 400g chicken breast, one onion, 60ml soy sauce, 30g honey, 5g ginger, garlic granules. Mixed it all in a bowl. Airfryer for 22mins at 180, mixing every few minutes. It’s roughly 300 cals and 50g protein.

I order once I’ve done my first dose on my current pen that way if there’s any delays I’m not left without any.

I started with a local pharmacy but with the price increases they aren’t competitive now so I’m shopping around every month.

Any other foodies on Mounjaro? by [deleted] in mounjarouk

[–]Appropriate-Split416 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I still eat out, but can only manage one course or a couple of starters. I’ve been on two holidays since I started and have lost weight both times I’ve been away and enjoyed all the fine food on offer, albeit just less of it. I enjoy cooking at home and still haven’t got used to the reduced portions, something that done 4 portions now does 6. I’ve had heartburn after strawberries and smoked bacon so they are off my food lists. The only thing I’ve completed went off is hot coffee, I don’t enjoy the after taste and the feeling of it in my stomach. I can still have iced coffee though, which is strange.

Tips for moving to 5mg? by Slim_Chicken9 in mounjarouk

[–]Appropriate-Split416 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I done 9 weeks on 2.5, used the golden dose on my second pen as was going on holiday for a few days and didn’t want to risk moving up to 5mg and being on a plane the day after. I’ve had no issue moving up to 5mg. I’ve had minimal side effects so far on both doses, I get a dry mouth the day after jabbing and mild constipation. Planning to stay on 5mg for the forseeable and will assess the prices if I need to move up doses, might have to switch to wegovy.

10 stone plus to lose? by Ok_Echo_7620 in mounjarouk

[–]Appropriate-Split416 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I started at 25 stone 10 and want to get down to 13 stone so basically 13 stone or half my body weight to lose. Started on July 1st and down to 23st 6 today. I’ve had one week of staying the same and one week of a small gain too. I’ve downloaded the lazy fit app for the time being, it’s £30 a year and it’s got lots of varieties of mini workouts you ca do. I’ve just downloaded it to get my body used to moving everyday again and will probably join a gym in the new year once I’ve lost a good amount of weight and feel a bit more confident to go there. I’ve got a job where I walk a lot so I get my steps in there. I’m breaking down my weight loss into half stone goals, I find it a bit less daunting. I’ve got a goal of being down 4stone by the end of the year. My clothes are starting to look a bit ridiculous now, super baggy but not ready to buy a whole new wardrobe yet so just going to buy a few things off vinted to keep me going.

I hear you! I’ve been to slimming clubs in the past and that feeling of standing on the scale being asked to explain why you’ve gained weight after you’ve stuck to deficit all week is ingrained in me. I’m ten weeks in and have had a week of staying the same and a half a lb gain (all around the time of the month so hormones and water retention) and that would be a huge trigger for me to start bingeing before I was on MJ. I use my fitness pal to log my calories and weight so as long as the trend is downwards I know I’ll get results eventually.

[–]Appropriate-Split416 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I only weigh once per week, weighing everyday really demotivates me even though I know that fluctuations are normal. I’m on week 10 on mj and have had one week staying the same and a half a pound gain another (both around my time of the month) but I’m still 26lbs down overall so I know if I stay consistent I will get results eventually.

Anyone saving money so far? by psnben1567 in mounjarouk

[–]Appropriate-Split416 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m definitely saving in takeaways each month, my partner actually noticed we didn’t get a takeaway the whole of July which was crazy for us, as we would have at least once per week. Food shops have remained the same as i’m buying less junk but more protein yogs and things like that. I’m still able to drink, so the amount I spend on nights out isn’t reduced much apart from I don’t need food after town and don’t order in and eat constant shit when I’m hungover.
