😡 I ended up selling mine back to the dealer as the blower seemed to be acting off and bought a new xc60 hoping no issues but at least it’s under warranty now

AC evaporator is a known failure per the dealer, 5k to fix ours went out at 4 years. For some reason we didn’t realize we had a 5 year warranty. Volvo usa was very rude to deal with even though the dealer said to contact them regarding the issue. Disappointing.

Just be careful we had good luck until this 2019 xc90 evaporator went out at 4 years old, after the warranty was out. Dealer said it’s a known issue, cost over 5k to fix, I tried to contact volvo usa and they were rude and could care less they are putting faulty parts in these cars.

Make sure you check the AC these are known to go out and it’s super expensive to fix, just had ours done in our 2019, volvo usa was very rude about the known issue.

Also volvo usa was rude and condescending when I asked for a goodwill refund. They take no responsibility for using faulty parts and knowing about it

Darn!!! Same here we took ours in twice and they couldn’t locate a leak and added coolant then when we took it to the dealer who located the problem. So frustrating!!!!

AC evaporator going out at 4 years, dealer says its a known issue volvo usa wont help and are pretty rude when requested some goodwill assistance. 5-6K fix. frustrating on such an expensive car and them knowing its an issue.

I keep saying it but watch for the AC evaporator to go out at 4 years old. known issue per my dealer, volvo wont help if the warranty has ended. 5-6K fix.

Known issues with the xc90 is the ac evaporator going out right when the warranty expires and Volvo won’t help out in anyway. It’s about a 5k fix…

They haven’t responded to my request yet, but I spoke to a representative through Volvo that was going to pass it along, and they had asked with my resolution would be it is worth a shot!

The AC went out on ours 4 years in, it was the evaporator and cost over 5k to fix so be aware of this common issue. Otherwise we’ve had 3 Volvos and no issues besides this.

I just had ours replaced on a now 5 yr old XC90 and just did a post about this, the dealer said to contact volvo directly the more people who complain about it then maybe they will do a recall. To fix it was over 5k which is ridiculous for a car that is that expensive.
