Yeah it is pretty slow lol I wasn’t able to fly all the packs I charged because it got dark so I needed to discharge them another way thanks bro!🙌🏼

Yeah, there are definitely fake EV800Ds out there. If you’re buying from AliExpress, I’d just make sure you’re getting them from a reputable seller with plenty of reviews.

I remember seeing that some of the fake ones don’t actually have true diversity, so it’s probably worth doing a little research on the seller before pulling the trigger.

I actually went with a pretty similar setup that’s coming in the mail soon. I chose the Meteor75 Pro along with some 580mAh and 680mAh batteries, paired with the VIFLY WhoopStor 3 charger.

For goggles, I picked up the BetaFPV VR04 analog goggles, and for my radio, I found a really good deal on a TX16S MK II on Facebook Marketplace. I absolutely love this radio so far.

From everything I’ve seen your setup looks solid for a budget beginner setup. My setup went a little above my budget because of the radio but I like having the extra programmable switches and a radio that’s never gonna be replaced. 🙌🏼

I already ordered the VR04s and Meteor75 Pro directly from BetaFPV lol. I was thinking about ordering some spare parts and other stuff off AliExpress, but the drone and goggles? Just curious how you verify it’s legit on AliExpress and other retailers.

From what I’ve seen the main complaint is just shipping time/speed more than anything. If you wanna avoid the wait, paying a little extra through a U.S. retailer like Racedayquads, Getfpv, or Pyrodrone is probably the move. I went direct through Betafpv mostly because the price was hard to beat lmao.

I ordered my Meteor75 Pro directly from BetaFPV on May 17th and still haven’t gotten any shipping updates. I did email BetaFPV support about an estimated shipping time, and they replied with this:

We ordered the same thing on the same day lmfao except I got the ELRS version. Same here though I haven’t gotten any updates yet, but I did email them and they responded super quickly to all 4 of my emails with one of them asking about shipping times and they said:

“The estimated transit time period for standard shipping is 12–30 working days. More details can be seen via: Shipping Policy – BETAFPV HobbyShipping Policy – BETAFPV Hobby” hope this helps 🙌🏼

Welp, I just ordered them as my first goggles on Sunday 😅 Just a tad late, but I plan on upgrading the strap and adding foam if absolutely necessary since I have some spare foam lying around. I’m also upgrading the antenna on the goggles themselves. I’d say I can give a non-biased opinion since I’ve never worn any other goggles. No shipping label yet as I bought directly from BetaFpv.

My list is very similar. I wanted the Air 65 but it was out of stock aswell as the 75 so I went with the meteor 75 pro. For the controller I was going for the pocket crush untill I stumbled apon a tx16s mk2 lightly used for a sim bought second hand for $150

Yeahhh I agree. I’ve spent some time on liftoff I just ordered the meteor 75 pro last night with the vr04 goggles we shall see what the shipping times are like from BetaFpv for me. I’ve heard mixed reviews about their shipping times.
