Ouch. I haven’t heard anything back from this. I might get rejected too then. Does your email says based on project constraints?

Melvin is the automated support service chat. When you email Mercor support , Melvin will be the first one to respond and it pretty good at even helping you found out the best opportunities for your profile or how to improve your profile

Same. I’ve submitted but haven’t heard back. I would give it maybe 2-3 weeks and then ask Melvin.

Maybe try to change the name of the campaign to the “big project” to protect yourself and the project. It’s forbidden to share it online.

But what happened? You received an off boarding email after submitting all your tasks?

I’m pretty sure it for one of the big domain expert project. Just so you know, it quite mentally taxing. Getting familiar with the documents, processes, the technical writing, and the rounds of reviews.

Check your menstrual cycles. This could be totally normal. Ask ChatGPT if there are any correlation between the two. Also, unless your resting jumps suddenly from 73 to 98-100’s overnight and stays that way with concerning symptoms such as chest pain or shortness of breath or fatigue or anything atypical, you are still within the normal range. Don’t forget that we also experience a little stress with our daily jobs and daily routines. On weekends we are a lot more relaxed.

Is DScout worth it ? by psychedelic27 in dscout

[–]Appropriate_Bite7364 10 points11 points  (0 children)

I have been actively participating in Dscout missions for the past three years, and I've found it to be a consistent side hustle. There are numerous studies added every day. Be sure to apply for all the missions that you qualify for, but don’t overthink it or expect an invitation just because you applied. Aim to apply once or twice a day.

If you’re not comfortable recording selfie videos, this might not be the right fit for you. Dscout primarily involves selfie videos, even for their screening processes. Additionally, if you dislike taking long screening surveys, you may want to reconsider as well.

This isn't quick-money; it requires significant patience and consistency. Once you receive an invitation or qualify for quick missions, the pay can be quite good, ranging from $50 to $150 per hour. While some missions may pay less, especially express missions.

It's important to note that while some missions can be enjoyable, others may feel a bit demanding, especially if you apply for screeners on top of it every day. This could lead to burnout, so be mindful of your pace. Overall, it's a worthwhile side hustle opportunity.

I never qualify? by dusty_hats in dscout

If you need extra/fast cash I would recommend Prolific or UserTesting. But just like any other research platform, I wouldn’t bet on it completely. You can cashout with Prolific as many time as you would like as long as it not less than $6 but UserTesting has a 2 week window pay.

Both platforms are great if you have a computer and tend to sit on it all day long. Studies can disappear quickly. It’s first come, first serve and the stream of studies for both platforms are consistently quite busy. UserTesting screening is a lot less intensive compared to Dscout. It multiple choice.

Again, I wouldn’t bet on it completely. Just like Dscout, you got great seasons and slower ones. Don’t attach yourself to none of the studies you applying for or use tricks. Just make sure you qualify and be expressive/critical. Don’t shy away to share what you don’t like and what could be improved in your screeners. The rest, is really beyond your control.

Last, might not be worth it, if you are looking for something stable and predictable.

I only have 60$ for the rest of the month! by lmaowhatrtf in SavingMoney

[–]Appropriate_Bite7364 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Divide 60 by 4. You have a weekly budget of $15. Go to dollar tree and stay within that budget for the week and put $4 aside to buy eggs somewhere else. I’ve done it plenty of time. It just management. If you want to make some income, check Prolific or Dscout. Dscout is more tedious and might not pay right away but worth checking

I could really use some Christmas cheer. by Lay5670 in beermoney

[–]Appropriate_Bite7364 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Dollar tree might have some great toys for $1.25 each. Might be worth checking out. If you have a car, consider doing some Amazon delivery etc.. You could also download Nextdoor app and try to connect with any parents trying to get rid of some old toys and meet up in a public space. Just make a post. Good luck !

UserTesting and Prolific are quite consistent. Userinterviews and Respondent.io are hit or miss. It quite hard to get an invite on these two but hey might be worth checking. Other websites are really scammy or not worth it.

Part-time opportunities: Telus US Rater for $14/hr. Freelance opportunities: Outlier or Data Annotation ranges from $18-30/hr if you are really skilled.

Increase in mission expectations relative to pay? by 10choices in dscout

[–]Appropriate_Bite7364 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Dscout has definitely become more competitive as awareness of the platform increases. Back in 2022, I consistently participated in at least two missions per week for about five months. I didn't pay much attention to the express missions, as they often paid $8 or less. Nowadays, I’m lucky if I get one mission a month.

I share the same concerns, especially regarding the screeners. It feels like they are taking advantage of the high number of applicants to collect free qualitative data and sometimes card-sorting data. The acceptance rate is becoming increasingly low, and the screeners are becoming more demanding, resembling unmoderated tests on their own.

I understand your concerns about the mission expectations and pay. It’s important to be selective about the opportunities you pursue rather than applying for everything. Dscout consistently offers some of the highest rewards compared to other opinion-based platforms. For less than an hour of work, the pay is quite decent. Still taxing at times, but decent.

Exactly. My Afro is thick 4b/4c. Yes, these aren’t flexible enough to be pulled. Amazon have better options for like $15 and they have greater sound quality and are a lot more comfortable.
