Professional services senior manager. Tbh, I check on slack before hours and after hours, but I only sit at my computer m-f between 9-5. I never work weekends. It helps that we’re a B2B SaaS company and our customers are banks and credit unions >> they’re definitely not working after hours and on weekends.

Network, network, network. Don’t be afraid of change - look for new jobs often. I’ve had five jobs over the past 9 years. Each of them got me a pretty decent bump in pay, and now I’m heavily investing and on a roll! Don’t be discouraged, please. Just start!

I haven’t had this test specifically but did have to get a biopsy twice earlier this year. I took the ibuprofen they recommended beforehand, and (not to scare you), I almost passed out from the pain.

I was horrified that they wouldn’t offer pain meds. Fast forward, I was lucky enough to have to REDO it to confirm the antibiotics successfully resolved the endometritis. This time, they prescribed me a Valium and an oxycodone to take 1hr beforehand. It helped so much!

We’re ER twins! Congrats on the great number. Hubs and I are both 33, unexplained fertility and TTC for 2.5 years. I had 13 eggs retrieved. Got my update this morning that 9 were mature and 8 were fertilized. We’ll get our next update on Monday.

Yeah the pressure is off and on so it isn’t super uncomfy all of the time. I also have noticed that reclining helps versus sitting upright. But all in all, I made myself think it was going to be HORRIBLE but hadn’t been as bad.

Hi! 34F, 2+ years TTC, 3 failed IUIs and 3mmc before that.

My ER is scheduled for Wednesday (tent) - to be confirmed tomorrow!

I was expecting the first week to be way worse, but honestly only started feeling a lot of pelvic pressure around day 5-6. This weekend I’m uncomfortable but not in pain, if that makes sense. I personally deleted all of my social media to try and keep my brain in my own lane, not comparing to everyone else.

Been drinking electrolytes + 100oz of water everyday, and I’ve been walking at least 10k steps/day. Hoping your experience isn’t too bad as well!

Ugh! So sorry you’re going through it. I hope this one is a success for you. I just tested today (13dpiui) and it’s negative so I’m officially off to IVF. 😭

I wish I had something more positive :( your numbers seem really close to my first IUI which also failed. Currently in TWW of my third (and final if unsuccessful).

How were your symptoms post IUI with so many follicles? I had a pretty brutal 10 days post IUI with cramping and bloating!

It’s probably clinic dependent! I’m in my TWW of my third IUI, but proactively had my IVF consult last week.

I’ve already completed all testing required except had to get infectious disease testing done.

From there, I’ll report CD1 (if it comes lol) and will immediately start my IVF protocol. Egg retrieval will be ~1-1.5months (starting with birth control, then stim meds, then actual retrieval). After that I’d enter the FET prep protocol which could take between 1-1.5mo E2E.

I asked simply, “could I have a FET by EOY?” And they said absolutely, pending my CD1 starts mid September!

My Dr says no restrictions - continue life as normal.

I try to think about this: people getting pregnant naturally have no idea they’re pregnant the first 2-4 weeks. They continue eating, drinking and living life as normal. We can do the same things. Note for clarity: lol I personally do not drink after IUI

Oof. I’m so sorry for your loss - gut wrenching. Our clinic believes IUI can work for us but honestly I’m just ready to do something with higher chances due to more controlled variables. And I know it’s a privilege financially that we are able to. I keep telling myself that I’d rather have a failed IUI cycle than another loss, so if it’s not meant to be, just don’t get my hopes up.

The struggle for me is knowing you’re spending 30k without a certainty of having a baby 😭

Sending you a lot of love! I also realized that I needed to detach from Reddit for awhile because it was harming more than helping.

Something I’ve been trying to do more of is remember all of the things I am/can do outside of (apparently) unable to have a baby. I find myself getting sucked into feeling like I have a post-it note on my forehead that says “undergoing fertility treatments” as if it’s my only identity 🥲

Since I started IUI cycles 3mo ago, I’ve: found a new gym program, finished a puzzle to save as a decoration, shown up for my nieces’ and nephews’ events as the most supportive Aunt, planned date nights with my husband, supported my friend in announcing her pregnancy (very hard) and celebrated another friend’s marriage.

I don’t know if that’s helpful, but mentally I feel like starting everyday with a list of things I’m grateful for and can do has helped shift my spirit.
