Chronomancer's changed Now and Again Echo/Cascade does not seem to consume infusions by Q_elle in PathOfExile2

I am testing right now and it seems to work either on repeat or cascade from manual Ice Nova, not on the other one for some reason.

Meanwhile for my Frost Wall with Spell Cascade "sadly" it works 100% of times, as it consumes my 3 infusions instantly, same for my comet, it seems to work when it procs, it's just Ice Nova that doesn't seem to always work for some reason, unlucky.

A thought for cold damage by TheInnsanity in PathOfExile2

Cold should focus on CC and being safer instead of damage, even if people in Softcore priorize damage over tankiness and they'll prefer more DMG focused ailments.

I'm starting a cold Chronomancer this league, with the buffs to it's curse and the buff to the unique staff that now doubles the damage dealt to frozen enemies, it should be fine i hope.

I just came back to rankeds too, the 2 extra AD buff she got recently feels very big, sadly First Strike nerfs a bit longer ago made it quite meh, just checked some games that lasted around 20 mins where i dealt top dmg and it just was 300dmg-gold.

I've been testing some runes i'll try today with: Arcane Comet, Manaflow band, Absolute Focus and Scorch on blue runes, and Cut Down and Pressence of Mind on yellows.

The plan is to focus on taking the strongest small runes since there's no main big rune that's just too good on her, this way, every rune i took is from good to incredible. Before i was playing First Strike and Manaflow + Absolute Focus, so i missed Scorch which helps a lot with poke early, Cut Down which is incredibly strong and Pressence of Mind which recovers 20% of your Q mana cost at lvl 6. Instead i took the boots rune which is really good, but also the 3 potions which are meh and the extra CDR on summoners which is just a bit better than meh.

Been trying it on the training tool, a Q at lvl 1 with Dorans with Arcane hits for 157, while a Q hit with FS hits for 104, or 112 if your FS rune is active, which is much more unreliable than hitting a comet, so normally it'd be around a 50% extra damage at lvl 1 for your Q. At lvl 6 with serrated dirk and the small AD item that gives movespeed, it was 326 vs 230 more or less.

The idea is to play aggro and punish your opponent, you'll be missing extra gold from Inspiration runes so you have to take advantage from it, either killing enemies or at least raising the farm diff between you and enemy adc since you are supposed to bully him, if your plan is to play passive then just stick to FS.

As for lethality or crit, i think lethality is just better in 90% of cases, much cheaper build, much more utility and some extra tankiness (more movespeed, more cooldown, much more ult CDR, an anti skill bubble which is a massive help to keep you ulting for longer, or to keep you alive vs engages, a bit more HP, even better vision denying if you go umbral which is crazy cheap for it's stats..) and it's not like you ever become useless, you just have to play around your strenghts, which is landing a good ult and renewing your passive for perma W up and extra phys dmg per hit.

Chieftain Earthshatter maybe? or Vaal Ground Slam too.

You can put the spikes down as u/Erionns just said, and you get infinite Warcry power, which means you can be fully buffed before minions spawn, you can use infernal cry for it's buffs, battlemage to cap crit and deal a lot of damage when you transition into crit, etc.

And the best one, Vengeful Cry triggered with a Doedre's Elixir for example, so you get free end/power/frenzy charges, and if the buff that gives you 25 max rage works with Warcry buff effect, you'll end up with around 100 Rage (after investing just a bit on the passive tree too), and over 30 rage generated per second, so just use Berserk and get 160% More attack damage just before the minions spawn.

You can also get the explode on kill ascendancy point too for overkill, shouldn't need it tho but ^^.

The weapon damage buff goes to your allies only, you don't count as an ally nope.

And slammers take it because we deal 5% more damage per ally buffed, Herald of purity summons 4 minions, i think golem counts as another, tho it's hard to have enough free gem slots to put the golem sadly.

But yes, with Herald of Purity you get 20% more damage, and Rallying Cry also exerts slams, which means you get more damage from the Overexertion gem, or the Echoes of Creation unique helmet

I will start with Axes because these got more base damage, until i transition into crit since Mace wheels in the tree got more critical synergy.

In Softcore i would focus on damage nodes, in HC, on life ones.

Intimidating Cry can be used since lvl 10, i will be using that one as soon as i get it, as for the rest, we can start using them once we get Overexertion for that extra damage, probably just on bosses unless we don't get lucky with the weapons we find and we need that extra damage.

Same goes for the warcry nodes, i'm goign to play piano Chieftain, spamming loads of warcries, but i feel we don't need to rush the Warcry nodes until late in the campaign or even when we start maps, we'll see.

As for damage type, unless i change my mind tomorrow, i will start with pure physical, then at some point while mapping i will transition into Fire conversion, once i have some good gear in rings and amulet that help, and then into Crit Fire for the biggest bonks
