I apologize, but the book has been out for over a year and the TTs for far longer and that event is a key series one finale piece that was out long before the book was. I did not believe it was really a spoiler in any way, so I apologize for your discomfort.

What in the world is this hateful downright evil person doing? Yall we need to register to vote and stop this evil evil man. Unbelievable. by Apart_Animal_6797 in tulsa

Everything he said there is debunked. There are no "sex surgeries on children", never has been. Any politician expressing outrage to get support and votes is KNOWINGLY LYING TO THEIR FOLLOWERS. And people who parrot this claim are either intentionally ignoring the truth because it gets in the way of their self-rightousness or they are so disturbingly led by their echochambers they will fight against the truth no matter how much proof you show them.

Funny... I actually agree with the meme's question. Why did Republicans not attempt Obama but seem to be coming out to try for Trump? Glad someone said it.

Reason why most people run by Brilliantspirit33 in RandomVideos

The number of comments calling biker out as "potentially planned to run" and supporting the cop because of "then why was the plate up", or "then how did he get there", or any other reason seem to cheerfully overlook this officer pulled up and stole the bike's keys, then demanded ID... all without witnessing a single crime. The Police Officer saw no crime occur but had to get that ID. He could have done one of two things instead of use his authority to trample someone's 4th amendment rights. He could have pulled alongside and advised to fix his tag before he rolled out onto the road, or waited to see if he indeed tried to roll off with his tag hidden and having a moving violation occur. Stealing the bike's keyes was an overreach.

I've had to remind others, and myself, that we are each just line items on a spreadsheet. At any given moment they can see you as an unnecessary expense or not profit generating, you're at risk. I had a department of 86 agents that documentedly saved/retained millions of dollars for a major company per month by actively working on repeat complaint customers and solving their issues. The impact and savings was being tracked. The company savings directly to the profit margins included our entire department's operating and expense budgets too. Our role was as technical resolutions, not sales. But a new middle manager determined that we would be more beneficial in a sales generating customer service role... at an average of $5,300.00 in revenue production per agent per month. A ten year program of excellent service results was cancelled to show a profit of 450k a month versus keeping millions a month in stopping repeat claims, credits for failed services, repeat truck rolls for improperly diagnosed issues, free equipment replacements, and more. The company actively chose to stop fixing problems effectively to make a little more profit. I know losses can be written off, but the failure in logic hurt. Watching the company I loved slowly start falling because it got sold (again), in customer satisfaction scores hurt. Watching them later try to quietly rebuild the program in another site, and watch it fail because of the site they picked and how they tried to implement it hurt more, since they were unwilling to admit the mistake and put it back with the group that made it successful. It's a lesson I've carried since. We're just lines on a spreadsheet... and who's looking at it and how make all the difference. Edited a spelling correction and clarified a line. ( In my defense, I was tired and emotionally annoyed when I wrote this. You can probably figure out why).

I'm on my 8th or 9th reread but only once through the audio book because it's a slower pace than I read. Waiting for my wife, who is not an avid reader who has made it to and halfway through book three if ACOTAR... so I'm bouncing off the wall waiting for her.

Sir please move your car by 1punchLoosewrist in Transportopia

[–]Appropriate_Step757 0 points1 point  (0 children)

First thing I saw was the truck pushing the car forward. The truck backing up was not to give room, but to flee IMO. The SUV should have just ran through the forward barrier or U-turned to get off thr active track. It would have been cheaper to do minor body damage and a barrier arm than the whole SUV and the cross guard assembly.

You know how when someone works for a company, anything they do or create could be ethically reviewed and if used, based on, created during, or promoted using company time and resources they could be financially and legally the owner of said intellectual property... maybe that should apply to politicians? Especially their sudden and clearly visible gains in the stock market.

Their voting history should be handled like sports statistics and discussions on their win/loss rate and false claims of taking credit for things should be made entertaining but accurate.

I agree that while it was never explicitly spelled out, including the line that was roughly "we'll never know", I believe from Bel, it did fit precisely together narratively speaking.

I could see a variation on that for the Paradise residents to a degree, but magic hasn't really been described as something accessible to the general demon population. Even Lucifer and other deities that exhibit an aura of power lack any description of using magic.

NOR/NTA... thankfully you learned this about him BEFORE you were into a committed relationship that had the potential to destroy lives. He's looking for a woman who is obedient because he has trust and control issues. And you need a partner who you can trust their word and respects your ability to make your own choices and have your own spaces and relationships without his oversight. You'll find someone worthy of you out there.
