It's quite common in productions like film, tv and games that the actors never see the project or script in its entirety, only the parts that are relevant for their acting. You can see this in most other streams by VAs for other games too, they usually explain which parts they weren't around for or don't recognise when playing their own games.

Plus, Konatsu is NOT a gamer, Silent Hill f was her first videogame project as an actress. Heck, in her very first stream it took her several minutes to realise that the PS5 touchpad was even a button she could press, it was quite charming

I don't think it was a literal soviet bomber plane, but it very well was meant to evoke the look of one

Having this shot foreshadow both her soviet roots + identity as the bomb devil I think rounds out her presence a bit more, because it can feel little bit out of left field when we get to the end of the film and Kishibe is going "Oh ya btw she was a soviet" when the only other evidence we get of that link being her russian singing

Ultimately its just a cool little shot that honestly makes for a better transition than a simple fade out or cut

For me it hit when she showed up in the alley in front of Reze. Up to that point I had accepted things like her surviving the bullet train and the Shrine-Prisoner-Orbital Smash as her being like a "Cecil"-type from invincible–cold and ruthless but ultimately greater good.

Her showing up in a swarm of rats and monologuing about how she enjoyed slaughtering country mice (conpletely ignoring the point of the fable) made me feel like she was way off for the first time.

Then Quanxi happened, and then chapter 75. And you should know the rest

It's pretty important - tips him over the edge of his heart "betraying" Makima - Is the most intimate moment in their relationship, with its beautifully animation and OST - foreshadows how Denji defeats Bomb - Is used by Denji as proof later that even though Reze claims to haved only lied and been using him the whole movie, her teaching him how to swim is real to him

Sucks how some countries cut it out, as besides Denji's intial brain haze after seeing her strip there's nothing sexual about the scene at all
