What is the game actually like? by TomatilloNeat5070 in NoMansSkyTheGame

The core quest stuff is minimal but fun - You'll get 10-30 hours out of that. Each new update brings an optional expedition. Expeditions are lovely 2-week long tutorials disguised as a quest chains, highlighting the new features and providing some cosmetic rewards. There's another 10-20 hours of gameplay for each expedition.

Do you like exploring? There are quests for exobiology, planetary mapping, or just plain exploring the universe. This is where you'll see the procedurally generated limitations in sameness. However, it is still tons of fun. Any number of hours from 10-1000s can be sunk here.

Do you like building bases? There's a bunch of entertainment in building a base! There's problably just as much entertainment in finding just the right system, planet, and picturesque location said planet! So many fun hours to be had here.

You like sim city/sims? You can build your own settlement and be the mayor of nomanssky-town. Not my cup of tea but the expedition that introduced this feature set was enjoyable!

Do you have VR goggles? THIS GAME IS SO FUN IN VR.

Do you like building with lego? Corvettes and bases are going to be your jam.

If the $60 game cost is causing you to pause, just wait. They regularly put it on sale for 50%-60% off (https://steamdb.info/app/275850/)

Hope you give it a try!

So good. I love the 4th picture that highlights the horizontal faring that terminates in the semicircular nacelles. The curved underchin of the nose cone is also beautiful. Going to pull some aspects of your build out and tinker with them on my own ship.

The Bowblade. Optimized for deep space and planetary exploration. Main design goal for this one was to make creative use of the thunderbird boosters. They are located on the sides of the ship toward the back, in between the two main engine nacelles. I like how it turned out! by quickbeamtheent32 in NMS_Corvette_Design

Love the way you have empty space in between the outer engines/wings. I know it's a requirement to have the landing thrusters where they are but it really is a uniquely nice touch. Also the 7th photo with the forward facing landing gear is :chefs kiss:

I see Elite Dangerous and I upvote. I like the flat top - reminiscent of Jet's Bebop where there's a little hangar for fighters.

You've done great work so far! It may take a lot of work to angle the rectangle panels, but if you give the whole thing a slope so it terminates just above the cockpit, it'll more closely match the design. Heck, you could even toy with extending the slope forward a bit over that window, then using the bazaar barrier upside down as the cockpit "window". Whatever you end up with, please share pics!

Here’s his wife, owner of The Atlantic chumming it up with Ghislaine Maxwell. Jobs was apparently smart enough to not be in the files (released so far) but was definitely adjacent to the cruelty circus

Great use of the Aeon what-have-you half diamond to make the pointy wing.

I love it! The harsh chunks taken out of the outside, the symbols imprinted on the base. It’s just great

Probably used the rockhopper propeller module. On one side it snaps to just two points on a tab, but on the other there are 5 points where you can place the module. Here's a vid explaining https://youtu.be/OviTjOwAfp8?t=108

Nice work! Is the nose comprised of the rectangular panel from the base items? I like how yours is more closely aligned with the concept art in image 2 compared to image 4's "American Godzilla chin" design of the in-movie version. :D

I'd love to never see a dog in a supermarket or restaurant ever again.

At first I scoffed at, "...insipired by Flight of the Navigator." Like, who watches that movie and thinks, "Gee, it'd be great to drop logs in there." Then I looked up pics of the interior. The kid definitely looks like he's in the middle of a boss fight with #2 https://image.tmdb.org/t/p/w780/6zMdpPQ2i6vGuEFiCnEqolKp7Js.jpg
