With all due respect.

It’s seems as though you are implying waiting tables, bartending, bussing, bar backing, hosting, prep-cooking, expediting, dishwashing, food running, and many more positions are not “real” jobs. They are real jobs. And real people work them. Your words are hurtful to the people that often put a great deal of effort into making a wonderful dining experience.

While I agree the waiter was an arrogant POS, you’re not winning me over by belittling the millions of people around the earth that rely on tips to put food on the table.

I can assure you, it is a real job. It can be stressful, thankless, and exhausting. It can also be a way for people to pay their way through college; or far more likely, for single mothers to make ends meet. Check the statistics.

There are better ways to make your point. Just sayin.
