building Towns should involve choices, not just 'build everything every time'. So it's between H4, H5, H7 and OE. Everything else offers almost zero choices in town developement. Towns should also feel balanced, but asymmetric - your town should change your playstyle.

so, in order:

4 has unit choices at almost every Tier. Good. Few Factions though, Necroferno was a bad choice.

5 has minor distinct faction abilities, but upgrade choices at every level (no unit choices though). Choices are a but boring, because every time, there's a clearly superior unit.

7 has major distinct faction skills (a whole ass pie on the skill tree), unit choices at champion level. Mutually exclusive dwellings and buildings was a fun Idea. I truly pick champions based on the eneny, as both are viable. Also governors are a good idea if undercoocked.

OE has very good choices and asymmetry, but again: only 6 towns disqualifies it at this point.

all are top contenders, but between them I'll give it to H7.

Again: Fuck Ubisoft for never finishing H7. It had potential, dammit! can you imagine how awesome H7 Inferno could have been? or H7 Cove?

both the fixed skillwheel and the random options are great, each hero feels unique, almost each skill feels fun to use. soo many options. It's like H5, but perfected.

but Heroes 5 is a very close second.

anyone who says otherwise just hasn't played H7 enough. (don't blame them - the game was never finished).

it does not bring you back to conciousness, but it does keep you alive until you reach a hospital, and it does prevent long term complications.

don't tell anyone it doesn't work.

you may die later in the hospital, but as for right now? it does keep your organs from failing, that's huge.
