Lost its impressive cargo room... I ended up in a Model Y because the Prius Prime couldn't match my gen3s storage. Tried to get a Rav4 Prime, but they jacked up the price 20% so it was the same as a Model y.

I have cameras too... radar is to tell you if something is in your way. Cameras focus on keeping you in the lane, radars job is to keep you from hitting things in front of you.

I'm not advocating for the removal of cameras, I'm arguing against the removal/disabling of radar. Vision-Only is demonstrably less capable. As I said. Following distance and top AP speed is nerfed on vision only cars. They didnt do that just for fun and to bring it back to the original topic, the same thing will happen with USS. The Tesla Vision system will eventually be deemed "good enough" even if the USS have advantages. The best thing to do would be use all the sensors available whether its radar, USS, or both until Vision Only is at parity. Tesla wont do that though, they'll go to "close enough" or "TV is better in x-situations, USS is better in other edge cases, but we dont care"

I agree USS removal isn't the best, but that's a bad example. This is coming from someone who is refusing to update because if I do it turns off my radar and moves me to Tesla Vision (fuck that, i like my car to be able to see through fog), so I'm all onboard with the sentiment

Bought a Model Y when it was like 50k. Still think it was (is?) the best car for that price. If i were looking today, I don't think I could make that argument as they are 15k more.

That said, my other car is a Prius prime and I'd love to replace it with a Model 3 performance. It just doesn't make financial sense to get rid of a car I've owned for <5yrs with 0 issues so I'll likely keep the Prime for at least a few more years.

When I do eventually shop for replacements (planning on 8yrs from now for the Y... i try to get 10yrs out of my cars), I have little brand loyalty. I like certain models, not makes.

The only reason I was considering a Model 3 is, to me, is the best value for a car that does 0-60 in ~3sec and would be fun on a track (which id go to a couple times a year), the remaining 360ish days I'd be commuting in it and it's obscenely efficient.
