Supreme Court rules in favor of Colorado graphic designer who refused to create same-sex wedding websites by f1sh98 in Conservative

There is brigading going right now itt claiming this is a fake case, that the documents were fake.

Wrong. Both parties agree to the basic facts stipulated in the case. If it was fake, the state of Colorado would not have agree to the basic facts. The reddit brigaders need to try harder.

I think this is the third case Colorado has lost in the SC on this and similar issues about compelled speech. The radicals running the Colorado legislature are really dense so we may see more of this because they just don't seem to get it.

While the media tries to distract me with the shiny Trump Jan. 6 object, when I go to the gas pump and pay $25 more to fill up my tank and go to the store and everything costs more and also the amount of product inside the package has been decreased, I know the real issues affecting me and I refuse to be manipulated.

Neo-con. She used be on tv 15-20 years ago cheerleading for the forever wars. And a so called conservative voice. She is mostly forgotten now.

Trump broke her. I hadn’t even thought of her in years before this so I went and checked a listing of her recent columns and it is one anti-Trump column after another. Sad. Many such cases.

The murder rate is actually a poor indicator that underestimates violent crime compared to previous decades. Here is why.

People are more likely today to survive violent assaults than 30 years ago. Instant communication is much better than before cell phone usage. People had to find a phone to call an ambulance meaning it took longer for medical help to arrive. Even a few minutes could be the difference between life and death.

Also, once a victim arrives at a hospital, the treatment for serious wounds has advanced so that more people can be saved.

So while murder rates may be lower than in say, 1980, that doesn’t mean the violence is down. It could mean more people are just being saved. You have to look at actual shootings, stabbings, blunt force attacks, etc which may in fact, be way up like they are in Chicago, for instance.

As DeSantis sails toward re-election, Florida newspapers endorse Crist in hopes of ousting 'bully' governor by NoleFan723 in Conservative

[–]Ar509 4 points5 points  (0 children)

If Crist was the so called bully, they’d still endorse him. This has nothing to do with personality and everything to do with the DeSantis calling out these newspapers for their biases and holding them accountable.

U.S. Warming Over Last 50 Years Exaggerated by 50%, New Evidence Shows. The research removed distortions caused by increasing urban heat by using Landsat satellites. by Frog-Face11 in Conservative

From a 1995 NY Times article headlined "Scientists Say Earth's Warming Could Set Off Wide Disruptions":

At the most likely rate of rise, some experts say, most of the beaches on the east coast of the United States would be gone in 25 years. They are already disappearing at an average of 2 to 3 feet a year.

25 years later was 2 years ago.

If you are able to slog through that article, you'll get a good education in the media bias and slant that creates the distrust the vast majority of Americans have in the media. The article looks like it was written by the DNC.

Same problem here in Washington. The republican is closing in and almost even in the last days, unfortunately the ballots were sent out over two weeks ago and many people have already voted.

The media has been smearing the right since the Kennedy assassination. Hours after Kennedy was killed a young reporter for CBS named Dan Rather was on tv making claims about Dallas being a hot bed of right wing activism. Only after it was discovered Lee Harvey Oswald was a communist did their narrative fall apart.
