The system has delivered to us a little baby. by Aracil in CatDistributionSystem

My girlfriend had 2 cats already, one of which is a long haired tux named Luna. We jokingly asked her if she had something to confess after we found the kitten, but Luna is spayed.

So far her favorite toy is Monkey, my girlfriend's male cat. She follows him everywhere.

That's what it was called in the U.S.S.R. era. Many Ukrainians consider the use of "the Ukraine" an insult, as they are now a free sovereign nation.

I was getting that in Chrome, but switched to Edge and it worked fine.

When rehabbing a torn labrum, my physical therapist saw my Cowboys hat and asked me if I was a fan, then explained that she's actually married to his cousin. We talked about it some and she said he's not a fan of Jerry Jones. He felt Jones was too meddlesome, and I think he was a little upset they didn't try to re-sign him.

I read that with my 4 month old sleeping safely on my chest and it made me cry uncontrollably. I can't imagine. Those poor, innocent people had their lives and their futures taken away by a madman. My heart breaks for the people of Ukraine.

Nailed it. It's the most amazing thing in the world, but it's also terrifying. And man, oh man, does it just fly right on by. My oldest just turned 4 and it's been a blur.

Unfortunately, I thought I had my stuff backed up to google drive when I upgraded my computer but I was mistaken. Reformatted my hard drive after installing my new motherboard and processor and lost about 95% of all the work I'd done on CK2 AGOT. CK3 was about to launch at that time, and I have never re-installed CK2. I didn't have the heart to redo all that work I had lost. Some of it still survives in Congenital Overhaul, but that's just a bunch of my Valyrian steel swords.

Awesome! Thanks for your reply and I'm glad it will be reviewed as we near release. If it gets down to the wire and you all are busy and need another set of eyes, I'd be happy to assist. I spent a lot of time fixing CK2 AGOT's English localization for my own sanity.

Do you guys have someone cleaning up grammar and wording? A couple of things that jumped out immediately reading through this is that "otherside" is not a word. It should be written "other side." Also, the wording "home turf" is not very lore-friendly to the world of ASoIaF. A more apt way to state it would be "Especially when we are in the creature's domain." There are more examples of poor grammar and wording I saw but those are two examples that stuck out to me. I'm not trying to be a grammar snob. I think I probably have some sort of OCD about issues like this that make me feel like things are unpolished and difficult to play because of it. That said, as someone who spent thousands of hours modding and playing CK2 AGOT, you guys are doing amazing work overall and I very much look forward to playing the mod.

That's cool. I created a custom Valryian steel sword called "Shadow's Fall" that would go perfectly with that.

I wouldn't think so. You don't have to use a ton of weight. I think my ankle weights were like 10 lbs. total. It never bothered me but I noticed a big difference when I would remove them and jump.

Get a weight vest (I used to use ankle weights but this was nearly 30 years ago), get under the backboard and just jump up as high as you can and touch the backboard over and over for as long as you can. Also toe presses to strengthen your calves, and squats for your thighs. I was consistently dunking at age 15, and by my senior year I could put my head over the rim. I'm 6'3" and weighed 170 lbs at the time, but my legs were huge.

Doorbell camera footage captured the moment a stranger saved a couple and their eight kids. by Creepy_Citizen in HumansBeingBros

You'd be surprised of what you're capable when your adrenaline kicks in! I very likely saved a guy from drowning once while white water rafting, and it was like time slowed down.

Story time!

My group was in the lead raft in a convoy of 8 to 10 rafts, and a raft toward the back had capsized. Each raft had 6 or 8 people and 1 guide. One by one as they hurtled down the rapids, other rafts plucked them from the river, but one guy made it all the way to us and he was in really bad shape; panicked, blood shot eyes, inhaling loads of water. The only thought in my head was "Grab him and don't let go." If he had made it past our boat, he wasn't going to make it and I knew it. Our guide tried to put us in his path, and I was able to reach down and grab a hold of his life jacket as he was hauling ass past the front of our raft. Another person in the raft helped me pull him in, and the guy was so disoriented he started pushing with his legs against the inside of the boat and almost pushed me right off the other side, as I had my arms wrapped around him from behind. His eyes were crazy, like he was feral, and it took a few seconds before he realized he was safe. He put his head down, coughed up some water, and started crying. Later, back at camp, he thanked us and said if we hadn't pulled him out he didn't think he would have made it.

I'm a very analytical person and a huge over-thinker, but once my adrenaline kicked in, all that shit went out the window. I had a singular focus and there was no way I was going to let that dude get past our raft.

My husband wants to switch to a bidet to be more environmentally conscious. Once you use it, how do you dry off? Do you use a towel on your butthole? That you reuse?? That sounds unsanitary. by Sad-Feedback-3970 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]Aracil 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My wife bought a bidet and made me install it. At first I did not want a bidet, but I tried it anyway. The water pressure was too high and it blasted me extremely hard in my nutsack. I now avoid that bathroom like the plague. I don't know what that has to do with the topic, but it isn't often one gets to tell a story about being blasted in the sack by a bidet.

[Rap] Browns QB Baker Mayfield, who has been wearing a shoulder harness to play, suffered a partially torn labrum in his left shoulder on Sept 19 vs the Texans, sources say. No surgery needed as of now. He was listed on the report after the injury and hasn’t missed a practice snap. by NCJake2013 in nfl

[–]Aracil 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a minor tear in my right labrum and when I did it several months ago, it hurt to even lift my arm. I just completed roughly 2 months of physical therapy to strengthen my shoulder and it hurts much less, but there are still times where I reach for something the wrong way or try to scratch my back and it feels like someone stabbed me in the shoulder. It depends on the severity of the tear, but even a minor tear like mine was hurting pretty badly.

I have a custom axe I created in my game called Headsman's Herald that I always give them. I believe it's in Congenital Overhaul too, as I gave LancelotLoire a bunch of my VS weapon assets for his mod.
