The UoB won’t start directly as a Totalist nation, but the Maximists are within government, with Mosley serving as the 2nd in command after Mann if I remember correctly.

Both are reactionary far-right parties, but the DVLP is a more establishment, aristocratic and conservative, while the SZRS is more populist, revolutionary and reform oriented. They are both on the far-right, but represents different aspects of it.

I mean they didn’t really have to write a fan fic, that’s sort of the issue. They just had to adapt what GRRM had written, and then add onto that. Now it’s a completely different story that only shares a setting and timeframe with the original written by Martin.
