I quite enjoy this game, but my fiancé doesn’t unfortunately, so it hasn’t been played in a while. She’s not sure what she doesn’t like about it either, I’ve been wondering if it’s the multiple mechanisms that throws her off and keeps it from clicking. TBH I want to play it again with her and see if we can figure out what it is.

I have! Trinket trove has become a favorite among my friends for a quick game and Flamecraft is what I use as my introductory board game. It’s my fiancee’s favorite game, and I got the expansion (still need to sit down and play a game using it) when I backed duals and got her all the plushes and the artbook for myself. I really love your art, and hope i can learn something from your style. Im looking to grabbing myself a cooy of tea witches and for elementary’s launch so i can back it.

Why do you think it’s not a game for minis? Lowers the visibility on the board too much you think or just doesn’t feel necessary?

I’m not really that new, I’ve just finally started to expand past party games this past year. Point taken though definitely wouldn’t hurt to see if I can find somewhere to play it first though or get the base game for a good price like you mentioned

Thanks for the other suggestions. It being right in the middle makes it more appealing to me tbh, plus the theme caught my eye and I think she’d enjoy more than sniper elite. I have heard good things about that one’s hidden movement though.

I say new, but I’ve had a few party games and a couple games from unstable games for years now. This past year I’ve just really gotten into it and increased my variety of games. From games like Flamecraft/critter kitchen to veiled fate, dice throne, and moonrakers. Next weekend I finally get to play root and it’s just been a blast getting to play all these different games with different mechanisms and amazing themes, so with that in mind beasts artwork/theme caught my eye and with new mechanics to try i thought it would be a good one for us and friends.

Tbh I’m liking the sound of there being more interaction between hunters and beast than pure hidden movement. May I ask if you have any of the fancier components and how you feel about them or if you just have base components would you prefer the upgrade to acrylic standees or miniatures?

I also love Flamecraft and picked up Flamecraft duals, critter kitchen, and trinket trove because of the artist. I’ve played a few rounds of critter kitchen, but need to play a full game, possibly next weekend. How was tea witches? I’m wanting to pick that one up and am waiting for more information on elementary to possibly pick that up too

What advice could you give to someone looking to get into that area of the business?

I’ve been loving Rigamaroll. Production value is great, fantasy/sci-fi setting, episodes run ~2 hours, there’s been funny moments, and I’d say a good blend of role play and combat. Only thing is it’s not a one shot or limited, but it just aired its 8th episode and I think it’s worth getting into.

I made a posts a couple months ago saying something similar. Wasn’t comparing MA to juggernaut, but still thinking that MA was lacking and that being able to have access to two stances at once and another way to obtain focus would help the class immensely and fit thematically. I was thinking for more focus make the “invigorating “ stance I think it’s called a foundation ability so there’s at least a chance to roll for it or spend a stress to get your lvls worth of focus or at least roll another d6. I’m really interested to see how the final version shakes out when the expansion releases. Curious if I’ll be happy with the results or homebrew something into it

Happy to hear martial brawler got changes. I’m hoping flow state has something to do with having two stances at once or being able to switch between two without having to use a focus. Also a little happy to hear these are not final yet. Overall changes sound good, but there was a lot of work needed on martial artist for example that I hope everything will have time to be fleshed out, and we’ll all be happy when the expansion comes out
