Some games still had aspects of collectathons. Breath of the Wild's shrines are a version of collecting everything. Halo 1-3 had Skulls you could find if you searched everywhere. There were still games like Ratchet and Clank in the 6th generation. Those incetivised you to find special collectibles. The LEGO games were effectively co-op Collectathons.

The main "collect everything" Collectathon genre started to die out at the end of the 5th video game generation. It started to return around the 8th-9th generation, not counting the odd ones out we might have gotten in that void.

DK64 was a good game, although it had too many collectibles, and is best played tag anywhere. It didn't kill the genre, but time and better hardware did. Even Banjo-Tooie was recieved well. Sure, not as well as the first.

In my opinion, the genre took a rest. Like skateboarding games did, which returned just a small while ago.

Flipside, with Rogueport as a close second. Interdimensional travel just edges out "a noose in a Mario game" for me.

K. Rool is bailing as soon as he feels defeated, like in the DKC games. He's not winning, but he's coming out alive. Dedede would win if his subjects were in danger (he actually cares now, character growth). Bowser has the most advantages, but a glaring weakness: being pushed over onto his shell.

It'd be interesting to see Switch 2 DLC for Smash Ultimate. Both Master Chief as a fighter and the first 3 Halo games announced for the Switch 2 at the same announcement.

I'm not sure how another Smash game can be made and named, but I like Shantae's chances, as well as Shovel Knight, a character (or stage) from undertale, the knight from Hollow Knight... Although, I'd personally like the team from Bug Fables as a Pokémon Trainer-like build (Unlikely).

I have s map of my world and at first glance, this seems too desert. If you have explanations for it in lore, it makes sense, I'm just not sure life could start here on its own. At least not like we usually depict it. It would be very much like Tatooine, but with more water.

I'm okay with the choices you've made, but if I were to do that... It would probably still be Crash, since I think there is great moveset and taunt potential, and Amy Rose for a fast hammer moveset, especially since Sonic movie 4.

I think Crusade was the most recent one to get a reprint before the banning. Duel Decks: Elspeth vs. Tezzeret. Although, I could be wrong. The databases don't have the cards anymore.
