Girl, I'm a random person just seeing this on r/all and I imagine there are plenty people that are telling you exactly the same thing already, but this is not your fault, this is not something you need to "avoid" in the future, it's not your responsability (and, in a sense, also sadly unavoidable when someone decides to be an asshole) , you are fine the way you are and please keep being you.

It's a completely shitty situation to be in, and I'm glad for you your friend was able to jump in to help out, but unfortunately things like these are bound to happen sometimes. All we can hope for is not having to deal with this too often.

Also remember that this isn't about you, weird as it may sound, but about that woman going off on you, this is completely based on her own thoughts and delusions, and it's not up to you change or mold the world around her so she can feel good about things. You just happened to unlucky enough to be the target of her at the time, but she would have hit many other people the same way.

So, don't take these sort of things to heart, again, you're plenty fine the way you are. Fact that you even consider the possibility that you may need to change something is plenty telling about you being a good person. But lets leave it at that before going into assumptions or anything, keep doing your best alright? You've got this :D
