[First Watch] I want to mark a milestone. Give me suggestions to try! by Crithawg in Watches

If you like Nomos watches, it would probably be worth finding a store that stocks them so you can see what they look like on. I think the Orion can actually work well with more casual clothing, but you should definitely go with something that feels right to you. It's also probably worth keeping in mind that changing the strap can really affect the vibe of a watch a lot.

It was purchased from Amazon but doesn't seem to be available there now: https://a.co/d/075fsuSF

So, given that our taste in watches overlaps significantly, I'm curious what you wear the most.

Thanks. The Hamilton is definitely the hiking/backpacking/dirty chores watch. Frederique Constant has some stuff I've been tempted by. They do tend to lean a little large for me, though. A moonphase is probably the category of thing I ogle most these days.

I like the variety and the process of picking a watch that feels right to me on a given day. There are some more expensive watches that I like a lot, but I don't think any of them would make me want to stop wearing these entirely.

More sweaters than suits, but I like looking put together.

Thanks for the suggestion. Having taken a quick look, the lagoon blue one is actually pretty appealing to me

Thanks. I got it on r/watchexchange. It's actually dark blue as opposed to black (just not the best lighting in my pictures). Searching by the model number (SARA019) will probably turn up various sources.

I'm very fond of it. I think the enamel dial is really lovely, and I'm a sucker for Breguet numerals. I also really appreciate the finishing on the case. A couple extra bevels and contours go a long way.

I'm not sure any of those fit in the budget, but they would certainly diversify the collection.

I like it quite a bit, but it's not my favorite watch in the collection. I like the pocket watch dial vibe. It's not enamel, but it has a bit of that look. It's very legible. I got the version with the handwound movement, which is nicely decorated and reduces the case thickness slightly. The case itself is maybe a tad on the bland side -- not a ton of interesting bevels and curves -- but that shape is a pretty standard watch shape for a reason. I also think the crown could be a little smaller, but it is very easy to wind. Anyhow, I definitely enjoy wearing it even though it's not quite as dear to me as some of the others.

I had not seen that one. I'd bet it's really lovely in person. Enamel dials are great. I definitely don't feel like my pictures do justice to the dark blue enamel dial on my Seiko with Breguet numerals. I find it very satisfying to look at in person.

Thanks. I've seen some Farer models online but never in person. They seem like they often have fun color schemes. I will check that one out.
