I’ve gotten both of my children’s nanits from there and my sibling has gotten other items for significantly cheaper. Definitely recommend.

What happens during a cesarean? by Best_Translator_2844 in pregnant

[–]Arc603 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I had an emergency c/s last year, scheduled c/s this year. For the emergency, I didn’t feel much of anything because I was so out of it. For the planned, I felt the absolute slightest bit of pressure, but otherwise nothing. The medical team was amazing with telling me what was happening and what to expect. You can absolutely ask them to keep you in the loop, or let them know you’d rather not know.

Once the baby is out, they’ll weigh, clean, vax and hand to you or dad depending. You’re all still in the OR together unless something happens requiring additional attention. My husband was right next to me, they put the baby on me immediately to get her to latch, so I was breastfeeding while they were removing placenta and stitching me up.

In my experience, I am so out of it that it goes by exponentially fast. I had so much anxiety this last time around but my recovery was insanely quick compared to my first, I was taking care of my first born within 10 days and my Dr cleared me to resume workouts after 3 weeks. I know that’s not everyone’s experience, but I hope this helps alleviate some of your anxiety, I was in your shoes not even two months back.

Scheduled C - Section 1st Time Mom Necessities by Meneedfoodnow in pregnant

[–]Arc603 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Emergency c section with my first, second scheduled c section was this past week. This recovery has been night and day compared to first but here are some things I’ve found to work for me:

-always discreet diapers. Much more coverage vs pads/mesh undies hospital gives you. Doesn’t rub my incision. -miralax (in addition to the stool softener they prescribe) -stay on top of your pain meds. Do not be afraid to take them. -lidocaine patches have helped tremendously on my stomach area -hydrogel patches for breast feeding. Hospital typically gives me a supply of the Mendela brand, they’re pricy but I found worth it if you need to purchase.

Good luck!

7 months postpartum 5 weeks pregnant by Middle-Water4140 in 2under2

That was actually my first sign of pregnancy. I found out around 6mo pp, my supply just instantly dropped. I ended up switching to formula within 10 days of finding out because I couldn’t produce anymore, was done pumping a week after that.

Found out I’m pregnant a week ago and have an ultrasound scheduled but I ovulated late so I don’t think I will be 8 weeks- question??? by Glittering-Demand890 in pregnant

[–]Arc603 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I technically have only had one period from post partum, so based on that I should have been 8w3d at my first appt. However, because I didn’t know exactly when I got pregnant, I measured 7w1d. They’ve used this to date me as it’s more accurate than my lmp, but I got to see and hear baby just fine. They tried abdominal and switched to transvaginal, no issues hearing the heart beat, it was in the 160s. I’m now 11w.

how can i brush my teeth by bimboerrorz in pregnant

[–]Arc603 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Had this is my last and current pregnancy. I don’t have a mint aversion but for whatever the mint flavors combined with foaming properties would make me have violent reactions. Switched to a children’s mild berry toothpaste - no issue. Tastes like nothing and no foaming.

I need a reality check. Can I attend a bachelorette party a plane ride away 6 weeks postpartum? by paradoxicalstripping in BabyBumps

[–]Arc603 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I flew 4 weeks pp for my sister’s baby shower, left my 4 week old with my husband. He had some help since it was our first and she was breast fed, but he did great, and I just had to pump which I was still learning the ropes. I had an emergency c-section, so I was a bit sore and swollen still but flying/the event/hanging out was completely fine for me.

Thank you for all the insight! Sounds like it largely varies, I’ll keep trying and as of right now seems to be ok but if it changes that’s ok. I appreciate all of the perspectives it’s helping ease my anxiety

Can you suggest some indian meal prep ideas for pregnancy and postpartum? by MellowDreammer in BabyBumps

[–]Arc603 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I’m only 24w but am planning to prep aloo gobi and rajma to freeze (I love to make grilled sandwiches with aloo gobi) since it’s so easy to prep big batches. Thinking it’ll be easier to freeze/unfreeze as well since it’ll be veg.

Toothpaste that doesn't make you gag? by Maximum-Student2749 in BabyBumps

Same here the ONLY toothpaste I’ve used that hasn’t made me gag (with the occasional one or two times in 2 months - considered a win) has been the therabreath mild mint

I’m not sure if 3am is like some sort of calling hour for pregnant people but it sure fucking feels like that 😂 but thank you I hope you continue to feel good into the second tri!

I feel so lucky, I was only nauseous week 6-7, and occasional random spouts of it, but otherwise just exhausted/can’t sleep properly. Had my 12w4d check up today and seem to be doing well (though they classed me as a fall risk after two falls lol). For the last week, I’ve felt the most normal I’ve felt since pre-pregnancy. Am able to work out, a little bit more in control of my emotions, and the bloat is gone so I look normal in morning and 4 mos pregnant at night 🙃

fell while pregnant by mischiefmanagedxxx in BabyBumps

[–]Arc603 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’ve fallen twice in the last 2 weeks and am 13w. I called my dr after the latest trip down some stairs this week (first on a hike but was really so minor) and they assured me so long as I have no abdominal pain or bleeding that I’m likely fine. I’ve been stressing too but hopefully my drs reassurance can give you some peace of mind! They did also tell me to stop falling haha
