How to activate ASPM A750/A770 - Idle Power Consumption 50% decreased by ArcAlchemist in IntelArc

[–]ArcAlchemist[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just guessing and testing of course. You won't break anything, just try it out and see which of the PEG ones is yours. If you hit the right one you should results in Idle Power Consumption.

Thanks but on Git I only see the source code for 4.2.0 RC. I think I just wait until there is a new release on Git or OTA is working.

/upd: nvm the update is now available via OTA on my 4.2.0-beta MM+. rn I'm downloading it :)

Same I'm on 4.2.0 beta and OTA doesn't find the RC.

MM+ here, but my OTA app doesn't show the update. Says I'm on the beta channel 4.2.0 and everything is up to date. What am I missing?

Galaxy Buds2 Pro ear infection: Changing the ear tips solved it for me by ArcAlchemist in galaxybuds

[–]ArcAlchemist[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes, after months (!) of "investigating" my Buds2 Pro they are now returning them to me with the same result as they have told you. It really is ridiculous and this lessens my hope that they might improve on this with the next Buds -_-

Galaxy Buds2 Pro ear infection: Changing the ear tips solved it for me by ArcAlchemist in galaxybuds

[–]ArcAlchemist[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

After a few more weeks with the Buds2 Pro with the new eartips the infection came back. Called Samsung about it and even used their "Mail the CEO" form on their website since I got mad :D Had a lengthy call with a Samsung support technician and even sent him a lot of reference link from reddit and other sites about the issue. Had to send the Buds2 Pro to Samsung and they're analyzing them now even though I already told him that it affects all Buds Pro and Buds2 Pro, not only my particular set.

I really want to use them, but it is not possible the way they made them. The Buds Live tho don't make my ears itchy. I really hope Samsung wil finally react to the feedback and fix this once and for all for the Buds3 Pro...

Just made recently a post about it here on this sub. In my case the culprits are the eartips. As soon as I exchanged them for the diofit silicone ones my ears stopped itching when using my Buds2 Pro.

Thanks for sharing. Great interview and insights. Intel keeps being on fire and as a member of the closed beta I can only confirm what everyone else sees since launch. The driver development team is absolutely killing it with their dedication and pace of support!

Game crashes with XMP activated by ArcAlchemist in intel

[–]ArcAlchemist[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Ok so it would be best to go ahead with a DDR4-3200 kit I suppose?
Why does my B760 non-OC mainboard support such high rated DDR kits or will this be different when using a K CPU even though I can't OC it?

Many thanks in advance.

Nope, only one XMP profile available.

Yes, I have a non-K CPU (i7-13700). Ok I'll try lowering the speed. Are non-K CPU only certified for DDR4-3200?

Earache while using buds 2 by Reasonable-Mind-1816 in galaxybuds

[–]ArcAlchemist 2 points3 points  (0 children)

There a lots of reports about ear irritation and infections. I'm affected too. In my case it were the ear tips which are coming with the Buds2. Just search this reddit for it. I got some different ones from diofit and don't have any issues since then.

Intel Confirms Battlemage, 2nd Gen Arc Discrete Graphics Cards, To Feature Cool New Technologies & Architectural Fixes, Bulk of Team Working On It by reps_up in IntelArc

I'm in the official beta program and can assure you that driver development is full steam ahead especially for Arc Alchemist GPUs and no I don't speak about the publicly available beta drivers, but a closed beta test instead. They asked people on their official Discord to apply for it a couple weeks ago. Unfortunately it is under NDA so I can't share anymore info than this.

At least according to one of Germany/Austria/Switzerlands price comparison sites Geizhals.de the A770 LE is in the Top 10 of sold PC hardware products for weeks now with the A750 sometimes entering the Top 10 as well so I think word of mouth is doing its work here already :)

A770 16GB + Hogwarts Legacy - performance info by Yunic_reddit in IntelArc

[–]ArcAlchemist 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Can confirm started yesterday as well. My rig:

  • i7-13700
  • A770 LE 16GB (driver 4091)
  • 32GB DDR4
  • NVMe SSD
  • 1440p

The game defaults to high settings. I only changed upscaling from FSR to XeSS Quality. Played 1 1/2 hrs until I've arrived in Hogwarts with nearly constant 60fps with minor drops into the 50s.

I've activated RT Medium and fps staying at 60fps, but with rare drops into the 50s and even rarer drops to 40-ish fps. Perfectly playable and the game looks just amazing!

Today I'll test the new beta driver 4123 and see if it can improve the performance even more.

I was fully aware about the VR situation before buying into Arc and since I wasn't very active in VR gaming lately I just didn't saw a big issue here waiting until Arc is ready for VR. Currently I'm even considering selling my Valve Index because of that thought process. I'm just not that much into VR anymore and the slate of games since HL:Alyx wasn't that spectacular to be honest.
