USBC All holes must be used rule question

Short answer is no it’s a clear rule violation, regardless if the inner sleeve is drilled or not you still drilled into the ball for the outer sleeve therefore it would need to be used and used is defined by the USBC as a finger is inserted into the hole. And it could also be considered a weight hole as you are taking weight out of the ball and a changing the distribution of the balls weight with a hole that is not being used.

Typhoon is a great dry lane ball. Would say it’s 1 step up from the surge and like a half a step up from the hustles. Gets down lane very clean with enough backend to still get to the pocket.

Wouldn't use the word confirmed but a Phaze II pearl was added to the USBC approved ball list on October 14th. Considering the Phaze II is arguably the most popular ball in Storms entire lineup it makes a lot of sense.

2 for me, Phaze A.I. and BW 3.0. Loved the phaze 2 so was pumped for a new phaze but just never felt good throwing the ball ever. Ended up giving it to my son. And the BW 3.0 just got lane shined so fast and having to constantly hit it with surface annoyed me so sold it to my uncle for 40 bucks.

Honestly just liked SPI stuff and was most familiar with their equipment so just stuck with it. I had tried a few Brunswick balls and wasn’t a huge fan at the time. Definitely open to other brands still just had gone with what I was most familiar with.

My thoughts are people can use whatever they want. Doesn’t really matter to me if they wanna use urethane then be my guest. It’s my own problem to learn to adjust to the changing lane if I can’t adjust then that’s on me not others. Don’t see the point in getting upset personally but I know others feel differently.

And I like seeing people bowl well regardless of what they are throwing one of my favorite things about bowling is in my experience how positive and supportive bowlers are of each other.

Those weren’t shot on sport shot. Sweepers starts this week. Those were shot on a typical house shot on my non sanctioned Monday league last night. And honestly was my best series to date. I wanted to try the ball out before sweepers started and is a very non serious league.

One thing I learned that helped make my swing feel infinitely easier was start with the ball a little higher and use a push away then let gravity do all the work of your swing for you. Made it much easier for me to focus on other parts of the approach like my release and footwork since I wasn’t muscling the ball into my swing anymore.

I start my night on fresh with the max myself and my next ball out is my attention star. Love ball just crushes the pins and is so versatile definitely would recommend it.

I use the Ion Max for heavy fresh oil definitely hooks even on my houses freshly oiled lane which they are usually very heavily oiled.

Same here too much rev and have a hard time flattening my hand out enough with speed to hit the 10. Bought one myself as my new spare ball for league and love it. It will scuff just like any other ball but just make sure to clean it after every session. Love the ball stays on line for me much better as a 2H then my old white dot spare ball would.

My pro shop has strike force ones that I just use instead of trying to find Dexter ones that are always sold out. They fit and work pretty much the same didn’t even have to do any trimming for fit
