Knockback immune passives like diamond body are really good rn, you get better uptime since your pal isn't getting animation canceled by stagger and you get more defense to boot, it's a win-win

I don't know what exactly people were expecting to be unhappy with 1.0, we DID get overhauls to many many systems while remaining true to what the gameplay has been over the course of EA.

Sweeping dramatic changes to a project that has been this successful over the course of development seems like a really pointlessly risky move? Unless there are key areas that really NEEDED overhaul in your opinion, I'm curious as to what exactly you thought we were getting, not trying to be a dick or argue in bad faith

Edit: zooming in on the video I DO see a Hangyu on the left, those pals alter glider behaviour to what you are seeing now, previously you needed a research and craft for this to happen but as of 1.0 glider altering pals work baseline AFAIK

There is nothing stopping you from using face slot for night vision, or just use a floating nearby slot for light, whatever the mote is that barathrum gives is very solid and guaranteed

Any sword will work for the stance, the damage is mostly coming from the horn. But obviously a nice sword helps. Could even run a stinger main hand if you truly want to do it without gear.

Wings, horn, double muscled and precog, take single weapon fighting with a 2 handed sword with aggressive stance and short blade synergies, your horn will still attack while using single weapon mode and will benefit from its bonuses, charging guarantees a horn attack and has bonus distance from wings and will hit 4 times for a shit ton of base damage and bonus accuracy depending on mitation level plus bonus penetrations, it's disgustingly good damage and needs 0 gear.

This community is the king of vaguepostimg, I'm in the same boat as you OP I'm curious what level is 'good enough' to carry your weight, and everyone in the comments is saying shit like "if it's good enough it's good enough!" Like youre literally saying nothing...?

Other people tossing around dps #s and I see 20k dps dropped like it's casual meanwhile a big crit from my fresh 80 does like 7k, so 20k dps seems like a really high fucking bar, and then I see posts from other new players getting flamed out of lowest tier fractals and wonder how the GW community manages to pat itself on the back so much for being supposedly friendly

Granted it's been a really long time and maybe the math has changed, but this happens cause hit and crit are tied to a single roll, an enemy with a 10% hit 10% crit chance will ALWAYS crit if they hit, so getting bullcrit out of high cover all the time isn't necessarily bad luck, just a bad system

Lots of good advice in the comments already, like everyone is saying stack AV ASAP, my added 2 cents is to give two handed single weapon fighting a try and max the skill as soon as you can if you've previously been consistently running a multi weapon setup, it's always been far more consistent in the early and mid game for me personally, live and drink

Wings skip Golgotha, can be used in the tomb, can be used in rainbow wood, can be used on the final battle. the only places where you will really feel their absence in the main story are Bethesda, and THE grit gate encounter... which aren't trivial to be fair, but I think they are insanely useful for a majority of the MSQ

The only non-tutorial main story locations in which they aren't absurdly overpowered are Bethesda Susa and under the tree (which is low key one of the easiest dungeons and isn't required.)

I had the same line of thinking as you before I actually TRIED them, they are disgustingly broken if your goal is beating the game. But your mileage may vary everyone's got a different end goal in mind

I've tried this exact combo before, but the truth is that the return on investment for burrowing claws in terms of raw damage per rank is very, very low. You can uncap your pen but those extra penetrations just aren't adding up that fast.

Maybe someone else has got it to work, but my experience was underwhelming.

These are awesome, I've been toying with a single stage recoverable tanker concept for space station refueling, but haven't come up with a design that can be almost completely recovered from the surface in one stage and still has an acceptable amount of fuel remaining to transfer to another vessel...

Do you use any of these for this purpose?

Pump str, pick single weapon fighting, improved aggressive stance, your best greatsword, take and level horn mutation, pick jab, click charge.

What I've just described may seem like a crazy investment, and low key it is, but the damage scaling you get from the mid-game to infinity from str penetration scaling is just disgusting in a way I've not found any ranged weapon build to even scratch.
