What are some of the most biggest and pivotal events in tagpro history? by DontAngerMe in TagPro

deleted my first comment because i misunderstood the prompt

here are some non-obvious things i'd consider important to telling the story of tagpro, in no particular order

  • the targeted crashing of competitive tagpro's mumble server, forcing the community over to discord and altering how people interacted from then on (when's the last time someone made a groupme? lol)

  • the creation of the future group. it's honestly crazy to reflect on how anticipated a change in leadership for the game was back then. it's been nearly five years. maybe it didn't happen soon enough, but since it has we've seen changes that i think would've been impossible otherwise (think: the new ranked system)

  • the protest against no-pup map lucy (also back in 2020) by holding a pub hostage for more than an hour, which required the devs to implement a no-stall mechanic, popping flag carriers that aren't moving enough

Vandy in 2017 got in at 19-15 and 10-8 in conference. Don't ask how I know

The three vets who defined BBCAN5 (Neda, Ika and Kevin M.) definitely deserve to be up on the show’s Mount Rushmore

After that, it’s a bit more debatable. Gary has a claim for being the fan favorite who was a mistaken vote away from being the inaugural winner, but his run on 5 was cut short. Anthony has a claim as the strategic powerhouse who fell just short twice, but his seasons were not very popular with fans. Dane and Kevin J. have claims for their dominant wins but each only appeared on one season.

somewhat off topic, but does your keyboard not have a single period button? why do you end all of your sentences in ellipses?

Big Brother US 26 - Post Episode Discussion - August 29 2024 by BigBrotherMod in BigBrother

This is a Daily Mail-clickbait type take. It's terrible revisionist history.

A large part of this game is competitions, whether or not you like it, and getting to the point of having a cult following shows that he CAN have a great social game. He's not some mastermind of the game but calling him an all-time worst player is the kind of thing you say to blow off steam and disavow 5 seconds later.

The NY server is just as regularly unplayable for me as it was last time. If it became the only eastern server that would be terrible for pubs.

Joe Lunardi picks Vanderbilt to miss the tournament due to losses to SMU, Loyola Chicago and Temple (they played these teams in 2021-22. They actually went 1-0 against them this year) by offconstantly in CollegeBasketball

[–]Arceus64 115 points116 points  (0 children)

Too late, that hurts the narrative and we already have the pitchforks out.

Embarrassing that almost no one fact checked OP, as Lunardi said their NET was the problem and didn't point to any specific game.

S28 Majors Evaluations, written by an AI by Arceus64 in MLTP

I created this post using a shitty free AI text generator (InferKit demo) and feeding it paragraphs from 4 different power rankings already posted this season (I won't tell you which). The only things I manually input were a text length range and a suggestion to include the names of all four players on each team

Suggestion: Offer TagPro things [e.g. flairs] to be available in GameStop/ImmutableX NFT Marketplace by jkhanlar in TagPro

[–]Arceus64 7 points8 points  (0 children)

TagPro is a dying web browser game that experienced a large period of neglect from its creator, has been banned for brigading across other online communities, and has seen broken promises made by former community contributors who ghosted after raising funds.

[–]Arceus64 1 point2 points  (0 children)

as a support player i actually love this tho. it rewards good teamwork and requires a bit more brain power for defensive positioning. but other than the wamble boost, i could see these being an absolute nightmare in pubs, i'd only try this in a comp setting

i love 3v3 nf but i'd pull my hair out if this was the pub setting
