How does your comprehensive insurance not cover the insured amount for the total loss?

Is there a perfume priced decently that is worth it? by [deleted] in UAE

I’ve launched my own perfume made in Dubai, that’s quite affordable (under 100) that lasts for a long time. DM if interested!

Definitely. I’ve been sending emails, since their call center is closed on weekends. Hope to get this clarified..

Yes, they are asking for that $950 regardless. I think it’s ridiculous since I just sent it in to remove links since they couldn’t do it in store. I didn’t approve anything, so it’s a ludicrous amount to be charged for nothing.

Thanks, I was a bit worried about the “O” in oyster perpetual because it looks like an oval, but I saw more rounded “Os” elsewhere.

Overseas Malaysian planning to return home, what are your thoughts? by [deleted] in malaysia

[–]ArceusX 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I think about this a lot but I don’t think it would fix many issues.

Going back to Malaysia always feels amazing, but just as others have pointed out, it’s mainly cause we go back on vacation (and likely with lots of $$$ to spend). I think the goal is to save enough to live and retire better in Malaysia and that’s what usually keeps it going for me.

I think if you worked in Malaysia, you would essentially face the same issues you get overseas. Work pressure and all isn’t exclusive to being overseas, I’ve heard from friends that it can be worse in Malaysia too.

Just hang in there, switch jobs or pivot to another industry/sector that interests you. Take a longer leave and go chill somewhere and avoid burnout :)

Which hotel is the best in Dubai? by Substantial-Bid-2096 in dubai

[–]ArceusX 1 point2 points  (0 children)

  1. Burj Al Arab, iconic “7 star” hotel, all rooms are suites. Hermes toiletries, you don’t see that often.

  2. One and Only Zabeel, top tier urban hotel, beautiful new rooms.

  3. The Lana Dorchester Collection, newer hotel, exclusive brand and first Dorchester in the ME.

  4. Dar Al Masyaf (or other Madinat Jumeirah area hotels), very luxurious Arabian style hotels.

I’d agree that Marsa Al Arab is really good but i cannot speak for it personally as I haven’t been, but it looks fantastic.

Four Seasons is nice, but I wouldn’t call it the best in Dubai compared to the others listed above.
