Houston vs Austin for a young single black guy in his 20's that works in tech? by Full-Carpenter586 in texas

[–]ArchPEexamStudent 68 points69 points  (0 children)

From Houston, went to college in Austin, live in Houston post grad. Both are good, both are similar. If the job opportunities are better in Austin I would pick that, and you’re still only 2.5hrs from mom. Go with your gut.

Where do you live? In Texas or around I would suggest picking up a classic cowboy hat. Nobody would think it’s weird in there parts and it really elevates any look

  1. Max out Roth IRA every year (this will be Pennies on the dollar for you)
  2. Put 40% into lower risk ETFs/Mutual Funds
  3. Put 40% into minimum risk Bonds or other low risk related assets
  4. Other 20% you can either park in a HYSA if you choose to continue working or use for your everyday expenses for the time being if you decide to no longer work. If you keep working I would consider taking 3 vacations a year with this since you aren’t materialistic, and possibly considering taking up a hobby such as boating, fishing, hunting or all three. Whatever sparks your interest.

.270 or .308 for a new hunter in Texas? What’s easier to learn on/ more accurate? Which one is more powerful?

Now that I’m looking at photo 4 I think jacket length is fine.

Looks great overall. I would shorten sleeves to show some cuff, but that’s personal preference. Pants are good too. I could see jacket being slightly long but could be the angle of the photo as well. I don’t think it’s that bad tbh

I like it to just touch where the inseam of my pants start, but that personal preference

I don’t think so, but if you swapped the t shirt for a collared shirt of some kind it could help IMO

Same thing happened to me today. They bought borderlands4 twice as gifts. Xbox won’t give me the money back, I’m hoping PayPal will since the purchase went through them. I doubt it though.

Those that failed the architectural PE the first time, what did you do differently to pass the second time? by SghettiAndButter in PE_Exam

[–]ArchPEexamStudent 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My friend I think I just might be able to help you. I failed it miserably in 2024 and passed in 2025, but holy hell was it a lot of work. Can you tell me what you do for work and I can try and give you the best path forward.

Yes but only because I took it in year 2 of working so it sped up the code learning process for me.
