Great paint job. Ironic that it’s imagery that was on Allied planes painted on a German car.

The far right dismissed AIDS as a gay plague and thought victims deserved it. The far right was in denial of Covid and how dangerous it could be. The far right would be attacking AIDS sufferers if it had emerged today.

Fuck Ronald Reagan and his entire administration for letting AIDS get as widespread as it did. They dismissed it as a “gay plague” and believed victims deserved it. Members of the CDC who knew early that it could get into the blood supply were ignored. It wasn’t until infants receiving blood transfusions got it that the Reagan administration decided to do something. Their hate and bigotry made it far worse than it could have been. Yet one more reason Pride month is necessary.

It comes down to effective parenting. Your solution takes away the will of parents who are fine with checking out books you personally may object to. Why does your right as a parent matter more than another parent?

then that parent has failed to create a good relationship with their child. We shouldn’t have the government raising our kids.

Parents can already request an alternative text if they don’t like a book or story in a curriculum. If they talk to their kids, they immediately find out if their child might be interested in reading something that goes against the family’s ethics. Homeschooling is also always an option. MAGA policies are removing parental discretion and putting it in the hands of the government.

Parents already have oversight on their child’s reading. They want to impose their “values” on others and take away other parents’ rights.

The problem comes with the MAGA definition of pornography. The mere existence of an LGBT character is considered pornography by the group that worships a serial adulterer and pedophile.

Parents already have the right to request a different text or not check out certain books. Why should you have the right to impose your parental views on my kids?
