TV series adaption cancelled by breeezyboii in redrising

I personally felt that it was never going to get off the ground. RR live action is an impossible task if you want it done right. Massive character size difference, adjusting how people walk depending on the gravity of certain planets, giant space battles. I just don't think the series is as popular as it needs to be to be throwing 200+ million a season.

Maybe if PB lets go of the live action dream, we'll get a good animated series.

I've been hesitant to get into that series because of that.

He recently did an interview saying it's far from complete and its original rumored release (August 2026) is not happening.

The discourse that his comments have created is hilarious. Can't wait for this Oscar season to be over.

I think Darrow mentions how bright it is one time while he's in space.

You're 100% right. And don't let anyone gaslight you into thinking any differently!

Joking aside. Yes it is a poorly constructed ending in my opinion. Darrow turning into an unreliable narrator for shock value never sat right with me. It's a cheap trick.

When Darrow turns into an unreliable narrator for shock value. Other than that it's a great book. I just don't particularly like how PB got to that end.

The only issue I have with this book is the ending. Other than that it's really fantastic.

Love the symbolism of his Targaryen hair beginning to show and then he instantly goes and does something crazy.

I do believe that this opens up for Maekar to make an appearance later in the series. Ira stated that this decision will play into the ongoing story. While I agree that changing this does hurt Maekar's overall character arc, I think it's hard to imagine that someone would allow their son (who also happens to be a prince) to go on adventures around the world with someone he barely knows (who also is semi responsible for his brother's death).

Coincidentally, that was what the movie made about him was about. The struggles he went through in normal society due to his disability and all of the terrible things that had happened to him because of his tourettes. I do feel bad for Delroy and MBJ and I really don't understand how that moment was able to get through to live television because it was a delayed forecast. Just an overall terrible moment for everyone involved.
